Pushing his shades further up his nose, Xavier gazed down at the earth below him as he swung his legs slightly beneath him. He leant slightly against the tree branch, his palms gripping it so tightly that the protruding branches cut into his fingers and palms. But he didn't care. The humid heat that hung around them made his sigh with exhaustion. Luckily today he was free of the laborous task of having to endure his lessons and, as he tightened the scarf around his neck, he gazed at the main building of St. Fedricks that was just as luminescent as the sun.

Ivy stare out of her window as her dad, um, step-dad that is, drove her to some school. It was for discipline. She had her arms crossed as she glared outside, through her shades. She hated this guy. He just wanted to get rid of her. She got out of the car when the arrived, slamming the door shut and watched him drive away. She sighed, entering the school, which looked a lot like a prison to her, pushing her blonde hair back, keeping her shades on.

Xavier's eyes raised when he heard the faint sounds of an engine approaching and his yanked off his sunglasses to gaze at the incoming car. He lifted an eyebrow as he made out a girl sat in the car and, even from this distance, he noticed something about her. His grip tightened convulsively on his sunglasses as he slipped off of the edge of the branch and landed gracefully on his feet. He bit his lip piercing as he watched the car and his eyes narrowed against he glare of the sun. No, it can't be. No, its not her he thought to himself as he began to walk across the courtyard towards the dingy-looking dorms.

Ivy sighed, gazing around her. She took note of her surroundings. What was she supposed to do now? Where was the head of the school. She sighed, pushing her shades up to her head, still shifting her blue eyed gaze around, lost.

Xavier paused half way across the courtyard when he noticed someone standing a few feet away from him. Hale. His brilliant blue eyes were arched as his mouth curved into a broad smile. "Hello, X," he said in his typical british accent and Xavier felt his stomach twist and convulse.
"Hale," he responsed sharply and Hale simply laughed at his tone.
"Sorry, can't stop and chat. I have been instructed to introduce our new addition," he said with a sarcastic smile as he blinked through his tawny coloured hair that hung glamourously over his eyes. Xavier made a sound similar to that of a growl as Hale passed him, eminating a cold form of heat ( hehe, oxymoron c; ).

Ivy sighed, shaking her head, brushing her blonde hair back with her hand as she took her shades off her head. She was swearing at her stepdad in her mind. He was horrible. Rude. Any other word except the meaning of nice suited him. She saw a guy walking towards her and started frowning.

Hale smiled as he neared the girl and he waved casually. "Hey, I'm Hale," he said lightly as he neared her and, in seeing her frown, he added, "I was told to show you around...?" His sentence ended on a polite rhetorical question as he slipped hs hands into his jean pockets. "Where you from?" he asked in a polite-enough tone. He knew Xavier would be watching him from across the courtyard but he secretly loved to annoy him.

Ivy studied this kid for a few moments, before she nodded. "Ivory. Ivy's fine though," she said, still watching him.
