I don't know what to do about it either. It seems the only thing we can do is try to get published sooner (I might be lucky enough to find a publisher this year...)

The want/search for new ideas has left me worried about posting any of my works online. I have two new books that'd I love to share with some other writers for comments, but I'm afraid someone will take my ideas or someone might be like 'hey, that's already been used'.

Oh, I already have several fully written manuscripts. I don't say finished because in my mind its always 'one more edit!'....
I have a freidn whose mom is a successful published author. In her blog she has a page to help aspiring authors get published. I have it on apice of paper and I can post the link later (I have to eat dinner soon)

My teacher is an unpublished writer, but she has several publishers who want her work. If I could just finished this one book I'm writing, I could give it to her and ask about publishing. >.< Good luck on getting your stuff published, too.

NOTICE: There is now a contest open! Forms will be accepted until September 5th, and the winners will be announced on the 10th. The winner wil become the writer of the month, and might win a small prize. ;) All members will be allowed to join the contest, but if anyone wishes to be a judge please PM me. On September 8th I'll put up a poll to see what everyone thinks about the stories. The tally points runs from 1-10 (1 tally per judge to each writer). If there is a tie there will be a poll between the two, and whichever is voted for the most wins!
