Yeah, I think wolves are mostly kept in preserves and such. As for zoos, I've never properly seen wolves in zoos before. /:

Nope, I don't know if many zoos have the space to give them a big enough habitat.

Every zoo I've been to has had wolves. I think, at least here, the pen is a little small and they should get a new one or just not have the wolves because they probably aren't happy in it. I don't go out of town much (at least not to go to the zoo in some other random city) so I guess it probably hasn't been that many, but I know that when I went there were wolves in Milwakee...I don't remember if there were in Madison now that I think about it. And there were some in South Dakota, and there are two in town. Also we have perservations around here that have a few wolves along with buffalo and a few other animals.

I've also gotten to hear a few out in the wild when I went to my cousin's grandma's house and we slept out in the tent in their 2 acre yard... Good times...A few months ago there was one that stuck around the edges of town eating other peoples livestock. I remember hearing about it.

Wow, that's awesome... Lucky to see some in the zoos where you are then.
But yeah, they probably just can't cope with all the space they need. And about the number of them, since they live in packs. /:

at my zoo they have wolves but they are cooped up and also lay down and have nothing to do and i saw food laying down and they would not eat it cause i think they would like to hunt food for once,and whenever i go to see them i talk to them sometimes.it makes me really sad how they are cooped up.

Mhm, ofcourse they'd be sad. They need like acres and acres of space to hunt and such, and to live. So yeah.. /:

Yeah. Neither have I, but I'm hoping to visit one some day.

ya i just wish the zoo would let them go into the wild or get a bigger space.in two weeks im going camping at a place that has a wolf centre and the space is huge.so im really excited to see the wolves their.and they have one of the biggest wolves in the world.i dont know if its just fat or tall.i hope its tall not fat.
