What could I add/take away from this to even it out a bit?
Unfair to you in my opinion. The pets they offered are just okay and the raritys don't match. I'd say add a rare comparable to the scarf dog and then it seems even

Unfair to them, take out the uncommon horse on your side and add one or two older, rarer pets
