Aquila saw Sachar and rolled her eyes. She leapt down from the rock, going into her den again. She was sick of everyone seeing all of her faults, not anything good she did. She went over her scars again, picking out the ones that she had gotten from protecting her pack/saving some member of it.

Juno stared after Aquila sadly. He jumped from the rock and followed her.

Aquila lay down and lay her head on her paws. She wanted it to be night, so she could find a high tree and stare at the stars.

Juno laid down next to her. "They'll all forget about this soon. I promise.''

"I don't care. They can think I'm a terrible monster. I'll do whatever I can to get this mess solved. I am glad that Moon left peacefully. But I've a feeling that we'll hear from her again." Aquila said quietly, never taking her head off of her paws or looking away from some fixed point she seemed terribly interested in.

Juno put his chin on her neck. "Don't worry about her. Dragons are strong, but packs are stronger."

Aquila closed her eyes. "I don't know. Strong enough, I think. It's not just Moon. It's a whole clutch. And they already hate the hybrids, now they'll hate the rest of the band for not thinking the way they do."
