"Nice to meet ya." Paul smiled and stood up straight again. "I'm only here for a moment, now I gotta go. Duty calls.." He chuckled, and fake saluted. "Bye." And he leaned down, and whispered something in Taru's ear, and Taru froze, as if she stopped breathing, and Paul left. "I'm going inside." Taru whispered, her voice having jumped an octave with... fear? Yet she seemed so happy just a moment ago...? She was almost trembling. Instead of the kind, cool act that Paul managed to fake, he was... abusive.

((Eeep. Nice twist.))

Garrett watched as he walked away. "He seems... nice." He said to her, looking back. But, when he looked at Taru... something was different. She looked... scared. "Is... something wrong?" He asked her, looking at her with wide eyes. "You seem frightened. You can tell me." He bent down slightly to her hight.

Taru stopped and shuddered, looking at Garrett with a frightened and scared look, and frowned. She took a few locks of her hair and moved them away from the bag of her neck to reveal a long, thick burn. "Paul... he may look nice... but he hurts me. He throws tantrums... He knows where I live, and believe me, I'd stop him if I could, but he's not a human." She whispered, her voice quivering as if she were going to cry.

Garret stiffened up, his eyes going black. "Just tell me when Taru, and I'll give him a lesson he'll never forget." He told her angrily, biting his lip to hold back from storming into the studio. "You may not care for me anymore, Taru, but that doesn't mean I haven't." He said quietly. "I'll still protect you."

Taru watched with glossy eyes, and smiled softly. "I never cared for you, Garrett.." She whispered. "I've always loved you." She whispered. "I don't know... I don't know when. I can't call you, or contact you without him noticing somehow.. I've gotta go." She mumbled, and ran into the studio, avoiding any more talk.

Garrett looked at her solemnly for a moment when she said that she never cared for him. He could have sworn he heard his heart shatter, but soon brushed it off as an illusion when he heard her next sentance. He smiled warmly, "I promise, I'll find a way." He told her as she ran into the studio. He leaned against the building, sliding down the wall until he was finally sitting.

Victoria flinched, "A- are you okay?" She asked him, her head slightly tilted. She murmured something under her breath, and gently took his hand. "Are you sure your okay?"

"Yeah. I just have a vertebrae in my back I popped out of place a few years ago, doing maneuvers with Hades. It pops occasionally, and hurts. It's nothing. Even gods like us can be hurt. Imagine that." He smiled, and stepped over to be beside her. "Let's go eat. My stomach's growling."

"Yikes... that must have hurt." She said thoughtfully, and then nodded. "Alright. As long as your okay." She smiled.
