October 8th, 2008, I have been around the adoption section for a while. Though I did not start on the forms till late December or early January.
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
13,571, Most are posts in art shops or role plays.
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
I am on everyday, home schooling assists me in this because the internet is always at my fingertips. I can't guarantee I will be on everyday but there is a high chance that I am easy to get a hold of.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
I spend the entire time I am on the computer with a CS tab open. The site is never boring therefore I am never off of it. I'm a little CS hermit.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position;
I believe that I could help with trading and coding for the forms. I have dealt with younger members before. Back when I was younger I used to get into fights but I am more mature these days I believe and I can handle anything you throw at me. I also speak a little french, not enough to have conversations but enough that I will almost know what they are saying.
Why do you want to be a General Helper?
Well I always found time to go through the CS help board and I loved helping members, especially when they figure out the problem it brings a smile to my face. I do try hard to help the members of the CS board and would love a chance at this.

1.I am very active on fourms
2.I know alot of information about the site despite my time on here.
3.I am a very people person,aka I am very good with most people(not all I am not perfect).

5.I have never broken a rule that I have read about nor will I ever.(well there was this one time I made Vampric a fan club but I forgot about the permission rule it WONT happen again!)

I registered to play Chickensmoothie on Saturday, January 17, 2009.

2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)
I have made 721 posts on the forums at the time of applying to be a General Helper.

3. How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
I visit Chickensmoothie at least once every day (seven days a week) on a regular basis.

4. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
I play Chickensmoothie during most of my free time (which is a lot), although I’m not able to get on during the school year as much as I am during the summer. So, hour-wise, that would probably add up to about 3-5 hours during the school year with several 5-10 minute log-ons just to check on things and 5+ hours during the summer and weekends during the school year.

5. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation? Do you consider yourself a trade-value expert? Do you already answer a lot of questions in the forum?)
-I try to be a caring, friendly, and considerate person who gets along with others won’t lose their temper.
-I have a general knowledge of what trades are fair and what trades are not fair considering the fact that I’ve been playing Chickensmoothie for over two and a half years now, but I still wouldn’t consider myself an “expert”.
-Usually, If I’m having trouble with something, I use the on-site resources such as The “Is this a fair trade?” Thread, the How much is this pet worth? thread, “The” Rares List Guide, any one of the many Chickensmoothie pet name guides, along with other threads of the same nature. I take note of any advice given by other players so that I will hopefully be able to answer the same question or a similar question in the future, whether I would be answering the question for myself or another user. I also try direct other players to one or more the helpful resources I use.
-I am able to easily explain most, if not all basic feature on the site such as: setting trading rules, updating profiles, setting signatures, posting on the forums, sending PMs, sending trades and trade suggestions, editing, canceling, and accepting trades, sending a trade message, posting messages in italics or bold, underlining words, posting coloured words, creating links, posting quotes, posting images, striking out text, and more.
-I like to give gifts to random users on Chickensmoothie, welcome new users, give advice to my fellow players, and occasionally help out on the fair trade threads. I also love to answer questions in real life as well as on Chickensmoothie and I don’t find newer users and their multitude of questions annoying at all.
-When I give advice to another player or a real-life person, I try to: first, give a literate and detailed explanation of what I’m trying to say, using as many descriptive words as possible, and second, phrase my message kindly, using nice words and a friendly vocabulary.
-I can also use the online translator to communicate with people who speak languages other than English. Although it may not be as good as actually knowing the language myself, it has proven to be useful in creating at least a semi-understandable conversation between myself and the said person who doesn’t speak English very well.
-Lastly, I’m not sure if this counts but I figured I’d put this in here anyways: I try to always use proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and capitalization without any chat speak when posting on the forums, PMing people, or sending a trade message so that way it’s easier for the other users to clearly understand me and what I’m trying to say.

6. Why do you want to be a General Helper?
I feel that the General Helpers are very valuable parts of the Chickensmoothie community. They help answer questions from new and old users alike, help new users feel welcome to the site and help them learn their way around all of Chickensmoothie’s features, give good and knowledgeable advice to players in need, and I believe that the best General Helpers are all-around nice, helpful, and wise people. I find great joy in helping people, and although I don’t usually have many users ask me many questions, I would absolutely love to be able to help more users on a regular basis. I would also be honored to be able to better guide the community on Chickensmoothie. Being a General Helper would make me feel like I’ve truly earned my spot among the other users on the site. I also believe that I am qualified to be part of Chickensmoothie’s General Helper team because I’ve been playing Chickensmoothie for over two and a half years now, so I feel that I know the rules and of the site and the way things generally work around the site fairly well. I try to be a kind and helpful member of the community as it is, and if I were to become a General Helper, more users would know to contact me if they have any problems. Furthermore, if I were to be chosen as a General Helper, I would promise to do my very best to legitimately answer any question asked by any user, and in the event that I would find myself unable to correctly answer a question, I would make sure that I find the answer so that I could use my extended knowledge to further help Chickensmoothie users in the future.

May I also add:
I really want a spot as a General Helper on Chickensmoothie, and I would be ever so grateful if I were to receive the title of “General Helper”. However, I do understand that there may be other users out there who are more qualified and deserving to this spot than myself. I just wanted to say “thank you” to Tess and the Chickensmoothie staff for offering my fellow Chickensmoothie users and I the opportunity to become part of the General Helper team. It really means a lot to me that we would be given the chance to extensively help out the other users on the site by becoming a General Helper. I log on to CS at least once a day unless I am away from home or can't access a computer. ( When I'm on vacation, sick, ect)

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?:
At least 4-5 hours on a regular day. If I'm not doing much that day or it's summer/a weekend, maybe around 7-8 hours, or even up to 12 hours. Even if I am busy, I can usually find the time to get on CS or a few hours. (This is me personally, not counting when Riff is online)

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?:
I am very familiar with the forums and the rules, and I know rarities very well, considering how long I've been a member of CS, and I often help out on the "Is this a fair trade? thread". Aside from rarities and rules, I also enjoy helping people who are new or have questions or problems relating to the site, and I am good at solving problems. Though I'm not a general helper, I know a lot about CS and I don't mind at all offering help to people who need it. Even if they were random users PMing me and asking for help, I still wouldn't mind, and I reply to PM's upon receiving them, so If I were to get the job of a general helper, I would be quick to respond to someone in need of help. I'm always glad to know that I could offer help and make someone happy. I am also very patient, calm, and considerate and I'm overall very friendly, and I enjoy gifting and welcoming random users. I'm good at making people happy and I always do my best to relate to and understand people and take people's feelings into consideration when talking to people, weather it's face-to-face or online. I can restrain myself from being rude even when someone is rude to me. I'm usually calm, and I can break up disputes. Also I wouldn't have a problem with having to take the time explain things in depth to newer user. And I wouldn't mind using a translator as I've done before for people who speak a different language, even though for the most part I only speak English.

I'm not sure if this is counted as a skill, but I guess there's no harm in adding it. Riff and I share this account, and since Riff tends to be online in the morning and day, and I'm usually on at night or really early morning, between the two of us there would be someone online and available to help most of the day.

Why do you want to be a General Helper?:
I want to be a general helper because I like helping people and I'd love to be able to help out CS, since it's the site I'm on the most. I love CS, and have been a member for over two and a half years now, so I'd be happy to be able to do as much as I can to help people on this amazing site. I'm a very nice and helpful person, and I already enjoy helping people when they have questions about CS, and becoming a general helper would allow me to help even more. I'd be honored to be a general helper, even if they aren't considered an official part of the staff, because I'd be more than happy to help the people of this wonderful community.

In conclusion
I'm very friendly and patient, and I believe I have the potential to become a great addition to Chickensmoothie's general helpers, and I hope that you will see my potential, too. I have been a member for a long time, so I have all the rules memorized, and I have a sometimes-described charismatic love of helping people. I dream of growing up and, well, my job revolving around helping others. I am friendly and often talk to random people, even if strangers. I have good grammar skills, so when I'm helping someone, I won't make grammatical errors and be using text talk.
Why do you want to be a General Helper?
Because, as stated previously, I have an extreme passion for helping people in need. I find being kind and helpful being fun, because life's too short to be mean and unkind all the time. To the best of my ability, I will give a good and helpful answer to any question shot to me. I will make sure the answers are very informative so that people completely know what they are doing. I would hunt the questions board, answering all questions. I hope that this will improve CS, because it's a great and entertaining website. I will also make sure that people are following the rules at all times when they post. I also think being a General Helper would teach me things. To sum it all up, I want to be a CS General Helper because I would love to help people in need on Chicken Smoothie!

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: I keep ChickenSmoothie up on my iPhone all during the day at the time, but during the school year, I will be on for about 4 or 5 hours during the afternoon/evening.

Do you consider yourself a trade-value expert? Do you already answer a lot of questions in the forum?): Well, I consider myself a peoples person and often welcome new members to ChickenSmoothie. I know a lot about ChickenSmoothie because I have been on here for a little over 18 months.
Why do you want to be a General Helper?:
I want to be a General Helper because I wasn't really helped when I arrived on ChickenSmoothie. I don't want new members to have the same impression of ChickenSmoothie. In my mind, I see ChickenSmoothie as a family or a community and we should help new members of our family or community. I also want to become a General Helper because I honestly enjoy helping people, here and in real life, and this would give me a greater oppurtunity to be a helper to people. The final reason why I want to be a General Helper is because I don't want people to be confused or to get into trouble because they didn't know rules or how to do something. I want their experiance on ChickenSmoothie to be a positive one.
