Kinkfur poked Stripeclaw. "We may as well figur out what the youngsters are doing!" grumbled Kinkfur. They creaked out of the den and entered the clearing. When Kinkfur saw Goldenflower, she found all of her twenty moons again. She raced over and demand an explication. stripeclaw followed, his eyes clouding with greef. He noticed Flickerheart and came over. "Whats going on?" He asked his adopted daughter. "What is going on is that Goldenflower was killed by a fox!" She replied. She knew he and kinkfur would be unhappy, they loved all the younger ones like they were their own kits!

Sandstar padded up to the Highrock. "Cats of Dawnclan," she began. "We have suffered a loss on this night. For those who don't know, a patrol was led to chase a fox from our territory. Goldflower was on this patrol. The fox grabbed her throat while she was heroicly fighting for her clan." She paused and looked at the fallen warrior. "Tonight we shall honor her bravery as she joins the ranks of Starclan."Sandstar sat down and threw her snad-colored head into the air. "Goldflower! Goldflower!" she cried.

Hawksky joined in as did Nightsplash.

Amberheart joined in too. "Goldflower! Goldflower!" She chanted her best friend's name.

Hawksky walked up to Amberheart and butted his head against her shoulder. "Starclan gained a great warrior tonight," he said quietly.

Kinkfur sighed and looked passionatly at Goldeflower, as Stripeclaw's tail passed over her fur. Flickerheart chanted Goldenflowers name, then dicided to join her parents in the vigil. Forestpaw and Mosspaw headed for the apprentice's den.

Nightsplash wtched the apprentices go to their den and decided to go to his as well. He wasn't going to sit vigil because he hadn't known Goldflower that well.

Amberheart nodded her head. "Yes, they do." Amberheart walked toward Goldflower's body and laid down. She rested her head next to her.
