she blinks her eyes letting her head tilt up slowly she smiles softly back at him and nods softly "Well, I was just thinking about how bad it hurts to loose a child that you are so attached to even though you may not know them" she bit her lip and a tear ran down her cheek again and her jaw trembling "I was a mother to be, with my ex boyfriend. We were not married but we had been dating for along time, me and him had made love a few time, but each time we were safe and one night he said he wanted to try and go all the way and try to make me and him last for ever and I agreed I thought I loved him and he loved me." more tears ran down her face she dug her nails into the wood "and after a week or so it came back that i was pregnant with our child I was so excited and I couldn't wait to have a family with him. He seemed happy to" she closed her eyes as she bit into her lip and it trembled more as more tears streamed down her face "After about 3 months I was showing a lot and he came home in a killing mood. He always been a drinker and I knew better then to get in his way and I dropped a plate and it broke and that scent him flying, he beat me till i was out cold and left me there. I woke up the next day went to the hospital and i was fine and so was the baby" she opened her eyes but more tears ran down she trembles more "I left him and then he found me one day walking from the store and I was so close to having the baby I wanted so bad" she cries hard "And he beat me again and I was out cold clinging to life, I woke up in the hospital and my stomach was flat" she closes her eyes and shakes more crying hard "He killed my baby, and killed me" she put her hands over her eyes and cried hard into them

John stayed quiet as she talked. His blue eyes were troubled. He slowly adjusted Lilly on his lap and wrapped his arms lightly around Kat, letting her cry on his shoulder. He shut his eyes and took a deep breath before he finally spoke. His voice was still quiet. "No. He didn't kill you." John whispered. "Never say that. You have a wonderful life ahead of you, Kat. And he will rot in whatever hell there may be for his mistakes." He lapsed back into silence.

she put her face in his shirt and cried into him putting her arms around him softly she listened to his speak and tried to calm down even though she knew she was not died she felt like it, love was not in her future and neither was another child she longed for. She breathed deeply and slowly took in breaths as she tried to calm herself down

John quietly stroked her hair, letting her calm herself down. He stayed silent, lost in thought. Lilly woke up a moment later and looked at Kat. Her little green eyes widened and she put her hand on Kat's arm. "Don't be sad." She whimpered.

she breathed in deep and opened her ice eyes slowly she felt a small hand on her arm she softly pulled back from John and looked down at little Lilly she smiles softly at her "I am fine dear" she smiles and leans forward and kisses John on the cheek softly "Thank you for listening to me, your the first person I have ever told" she whispers into his ear then slowly pulls back from his ear she smiles and looks down at Lilly again

John smiled softly. "I'm always here, if you need me." He said quietly. Lilly got up and gave Kat a light hug.

She smiles and looks down at Lilly she hugs her back lightly "Thank you John" her eyes go back to him

John nodded, smiling softly. Lilly pulled away slightly and smiled up at Kat.

she smiles softly and giggles looking at them, glancing down at her watch "Crap, I have to go pick something up" she looks at them again
