((I know, right? :c Poor Fallownose. And I'm torn between feeling sorry for Jadepool and being a little amused that she's slowly going insane... xD))

Fallownose

As Fallownose made his way slowly towards the nursery, he kept his pale green eyes downcast. He didn't want to see the looks of pity in his Clanmates eyes. Shouldering his way through the entrance, he stopped when he got to his mate. "Are you alright?" he asked very quietly.

[Kess]

((I am slightly amused that Jadepool is going NUTS. Berrypaw is all like "Uhm, are you okai?" and Jadepool's like "HEEH HEEHH...CATNIP".))

Fluffwhisker

Fluffwhisker looked up at Fallownose. "What if more die?" she said slowly. "What will I do?" Her eyes were hollow with greif. "I won't be able to stand it if another kit dies."

Jadepool

Jadepool slithered out of the den and stalked to the nursery. "Fallownose," she growled sharply, hoping to get his attention. Her eyes were narrow as slits.

Fallownose

Fallownose said softly, with determination in his voice, "They won't. I swear to StarClan I'll do everything to make sure that no other kit dies." He licked her head soothingly when he heard Jadepool growl, "Fallownose." Fallownose glanced behind him at the silhouette of the medicine cat hovering at the entrance of the nursery, waiting for him. "I'll be back," he murmured and padded out. "What is it?" he asked.

Jadepool

The black medicine cat glared at the tom. "Why was I not informed of this kit's death? Take me to her body!"

(I kinda want to kill off Reedstar..like have Jadepool accidentally (or on purpouse) poison him.)

Fallownose

Fallownose's eyes widened a little at the ferocity in the medicine cat's tone. "I buried him," he said.

(YEAH! I almost never use Reedstar anymore, and Sandstar = epic leader)

Jadepool

Jadepool's eyes widened. "Without letting me prepare it? without even letting the elders help bury it?"

Reedstar

Reedstar pawed at his belly. "Must've eating a bad mouse..." Remembering the horrid death of Whiteberry, Reedstar stood up and proceeded to stagger painfully towards the medicine den. He noticed Jadepool outside, talking to Fallownose. "what happened?" he asked, noticing the sadness in Fallownose's eyes.

(Wait wait, what if...I made...Jadepool...KILL HERSELF?! Out of regret for killing Whiteberry and Reedstar?)

((Yesyesyes. Sandstar is a character I use all the time, when there is a leader position available. And YES! Then Berrypaw can become Berry-whomever, and we can timeskip a few months to when the kits are all grown up as apprentices maybe?))

Fallownose

Fallownose nodded, his chin jerking up defiantly. "Yes, I did. He was my son. I thought I should be the one to bury him." His eyes flicked over to where Reedstar was approaching. hen he asked what had happened, Fallownose explained that Thrushkit had died.

Jadepool

Jadepool lashed her long black tail. "Fine. I do hope she is in StarClan. Maybe..." she choked a moment, "Maybe Whiteberry or Splashflower can care for her."

Reedstar

Reedstar's eyes widened. "That is awful," he mewed. "Another life, too young to go, has been wrenched from us." He touched his nose briefly to Fallownose's ear. "I am glad you are there for my daughter," he said. "She needs support, and I can tell you are the only cat who can truly give it to her, besides Jadepool and I." Speaking of Jadepool, Reedstar thought...he turned to her. "My belly aches. I could use something to ease the pain?"

Jadepool

The black medicine cat nodded to her father. "Come with me." She turned sharply and stalked back to the medicine den.

Fallownose

Fallownose's ears flattened and his tail lashed. "He is in StarClan," he growled. Dipping his head curtly to Reedstar, he turned and walked angrily back to the nursery.

[Kess]

Jadepool

"Why, StarClan?" she hissed under her breath. "Why take everything dear to me and wrench it from my claws? Those kits are my kin too...why kill a helpless kit?" But she knew there would be no answer to it. She hurried into the den and prepared the herbs for her father. For a moment, she stood there, confused. "Which is death berry and which is juniper...?" Unsure, she took the dark scarlet berries and then a raspberry leaf. "Here, Reedstar. Eat this. Then you can go back to sleep."

Reedstar

Reedstar nodded, picked up the herbs, and took them to his den. When he got there, he ate the berries and the leaf. As soon as he swallowed the scarlet berry, Reedstar felt his mouth foam and his stomach turn to ice. He gagged, trying to bring up the herb, but it just went further down. The big reddish tom hacked and choked until he collapsed. He felt something drip out of his mouth. Horrified, he saw what looked like blood or berry juice on the ground and his muzzle. He yowled "Help!" weakly...

Jadepool

Jadepool turned back to the two piles of berries and stared at them. "Wait...that's..that's deathberries!" Her eyes widened. "I just gave my father deathberries!" She whipped around and raced out of the den. "Reedstar! Reedstar! Don't eat those! Berrypaw! Fallownose! Come quick!"
