Lucy went over the mare's stall. "Hey, pretty." she crooned, slipping the halter on the large mare's face. Opening the stall, she led the mare to a set of cross-ties, where Jessica had set a stool with a grooming kit for the riders. Snapping them to Sunny's halter, she removed the mare's lead rope, laying it on the stool, taking out a curry comb.

Jessica looked at Lily at Kyle. "Lily, you can take Candy." she said, handing the girl a and halter and lead rope. "Kyle, you can use Truth." she handed the boy a halter and lead also, pointing at the black horse.

Lily walked over to Candy. "Hey girl, easy." Lily murmed as she slipped the halter onto the mare. She fastened it & brought her to the cross-ties.

Kyle walked over to Truth. "Hey boy, easy."

Tara ran the body brush over Lucky's body in small cricles, soon followed by the dandy brush. She used the dandy brush in large sweeping & flicking motions. She then turned to grab a hoof-pick. She lifted each of Lucky's hooves, picking out the dirt & stones.

Katie used the body brush with small cirlces. She used the dandy brush to sweep across Charlie's body. She then grabbed the hoof-pick & ran her hand down his leg, leaning on him, asking for his hoof.

Truth saw a boy coming over and stoped pacing and stood still awaiting for the boy. The black horse very exprinced and hoped her would beable to gallop. He walked up and nuzzled the boy.
Candy snorted and saw a girl com over and whinnied rearing up. She got spoked by some mice that ran by the cross ties and hoped not to scare the girl.

Lily stepped back, "Easy Candy, easy girl."

Kyle slipped the halter over Truth's head & led him to the cross-ties. He found the grooming kit & grabbed the body brush, dandy brush & hoof pick. He allowed Truth to sniff each brush before he used it. Then he showed him the hoof-pick. He ran his hand down Truth's leg & leaned on his side, asking him to lift his hoof.

Sunny stretched out her neck as Lucy curried under her chest, eyes drooping shut.

Hannah stepped towards Jessica. "I never rode before." she said cheerfully. Jessica looked down at the little girl. "Alright, sweetie. Why don't you go get Knock." she said, pointing towards the Shetland's stall. Hannah nodded, skipping off with a halter and lead in her hand.

Austin put the curry comb back in the box, taking out a dandy brush. He patted Jewel as he groomed her with long strokes.

Katie finished each of Charlie's hooves & then asked Kourtney to get his tack.

Kourtney showed Katie where the lesson horse's tack were & showed her how to identify Charlie's. She handed Katie the saddle pad, saddle & girth while she carried the bridle. Kourtney then went to grab Sunny & Lucky's tack.

Tara thanked Kourtney for Lucky's tack & tacked him up.

Katie set the saddle pad on Charlie's back & then set the saddle on top. She pulled the saddle pad up a little bit to free any pulled mane. She did up his girth, remembering to fix it before she got on, just in case he bloated. She slid the halter onto Charlie's neck & stuck her fingers in the gap in his mouth, she wiated for him to open, ready to slide the bit in.

Truth picked up his hoof and waited for it to picked out. They had been pick a few days before but they needed to pick agin.
Candy settled down and stood their ear perked and pumped to go. The dapple mare hoped to run today.
Knock saw a girl coming her way and whinnied. The palmino pony had just been groomed

Kyle picked each hoof. "Jessica, can you help me tack Truth up?"

Lily groomed Candy & walked to Jessica. "Can you help me tack up Jessica? I've never ridden before."

Charlie tossed his head, but opened his mouth for the bit, feeling the cold metal slid into his mouth. The handsome gelding stood still.

Lucy went to get Sunny's tack, but saw Kourtney coming with it. She smiled, taking the saddle pad first, setting it on the mare's back, hoping it was right.

Jessica nodded at Kyle. "Yeah, coming!" she called, then patted Lily's shoulder. "Come watch me help Kyle, then I'll help you." she said, slipping into the tack room, grabbing the tack in her arms, heading out to Kyle, handing him the saddle pad. "Here you go." she said.

Kyle slipped the saddle pad on, but it was too far back. He moved it frward more onto Truth's withers. "Right?" He asked.

Lily nodded & watched.

"Jessica, which arena do you want?" Kourtney called. She looked at Sunny's back. "Good try, but just a little more forward." Kourtney smiled at Lucy & moved it forward a little, handing her the saddle.
Katie fastened the nosband & throat lash. She pulled Charlie's forelock out from under the browband.

Katie & Tara walked out of the barn with their horses & waited for Kourtney & Lucy.
