My favorite character is definitely Gavroche, and I was a fan at first sight when I saw the Les Miz movie (starring Liam Neeson, i think) and then went to see the musical...

yay! new les mis fans!! anyway, of the movie, I'm so exited. It's going to be directed by Tom Hooper (of The King's Speech) and have Hugh Jackman as Valjean and Russell Crowe as Javert (???). Oh! And possibly Anne Hathaway as Fantine! Release date is set for Dec. 7th, 2012 (noo... so.. far... away...) so for now I've just been checking lesmis.com for updates furiously.

I heard about the movie as well, and I'm so excited for them to do one based on the musical! I've seen two of the movies so far, the 1978 version(in history class, because as I said our school did it, so our teacher thought it appropriate) and the version with Liam Neeson, but the 1978 version was my favorite C:
