Romaku was quiet for a moment. "I-Im sorry"

"Huh? You don't need to be sorry," Taro assured her in a soft tone. "It just worried me some that you kept running off like that. You could have been snatched away or something." He sighed a little and looked down at her.

"do you really care that much for someone like me" Romaku said and asked looking up at him feeling short

"I care for everyone here, Romaku," Taro said as he looked back toward the house. "I don't want anyone to be taken away and forced to do things against their will." He rubbed the back of his neck for a moment before looking back to her. "I just feel the need to protect you all."

Romaku looked back down with a low sigh

Taro frowned slightly as he kept her close. "What's wrong? You still seem rather upset," he said as he warily watched her. His ears poked up out of his hair. He hated having to hide what he was. He kept a wary gaze though. At the first sign of a human nearby, he'd hide his ears.

Lana came back from her walk through the alley and was limping a bit.She had scraped her knee on a hard rock.It was bleeding but not gushing out though.

"We can continue this conversation in a few minutes, alright?" Taro's gaze flickered over to Lana when she had a limp. He released Romaku and moved to Lana's side. "That shouldn't be too hard to clean up," he said to her with a light smile. "If this place has some disinfectant, I'm sure we'd be all set."
