Dear Journal,
So like I said, I called Grace today. It was really early, like seven o'clock, but I was up because Pumpkin walked in at like six in the morning and started poking me in the eye because he forgot where the bathroom was. I mean, really, how to you forget that, of all things? Well I FREAKED out at him. I asked him how the heck he forgot that, so he said. “Oh, okay. I just forgot how to breathe.”
I practically died right there. I told him if he was going to annoy someone, to annoy Bri. So he left, and down the hall I could hear him talking to Bri. I tried to get back to sleep, but I couldn't. So I just thought, 'what the heck?' and called Grace. Apparently she gets up early. She invited me to her house for breakfast, and then said maybe later I could come with her and her family to the movies. I would do anything to get out of the house, so I said yes as fast as I could.
I left as soon as I could, riding my bike down to her house. It was farther then it looks! When I got there, I “parked” in her garage and went up and knocked on the door. There was a shuffling noise, and then someone who sounded very young said “Are you a stranger?” I pretended not to hear and knocked again. The voice got all whiny and screamed “Grace! There's a stranger outside who wants to come in and eat my pants!” That had to be Grace's little brother.
I few seconds later, Grace same running to the door. She opened it and let me in. “Sorry about
Tommy,” she groaned, “He's not from earth.” I nodded. “Neither are my siblings. None of them are.” Grace led me into the kitchen, and I was surprised how organized everything already was, after just moving in yesterday.
Grace's mom was making pancakes on the griddle when we sat down. She turned around and gave me a huge smile. “Oh, so you're Angelic! Grace hasn't stopped talking about you since last night. It's so nice to finally be able to sit down and meet you!”
Grace's eyes widened and she slapped a paw down her face. “Mom!” she hissed, her cheeks growing red. I smirked. Apparently, I was popular. Grace's mom gasped slightly. “Oh, I'm sorry! Um, Tommy! Pancakes are done!”
Tommy came barreling in from the family room with a toy robot in his paws. “But Mom!” he whined. “Super Sonic Speedway is on! The new one! You know, the one about the evil egg?” Grace and I tried not to laugh. What kind of shows were on TV now a days?
Grace's mom thought for a moment. “How about you all take your breakfast into the family room and eat it there?” Tommy's eyes got bright. “Okay! Let's go!” He grabbed his plate and dashed away. Me and Grace followed more slowly, giggling to ourselves. “An evil egg? What the heck?” We laughed together. Suddenly, we heard the door slam shut. I thought it might be her dad. “Who's that?”
Grace blinked. “My
step-brother, probably.” she moaned. “My dad's at work already, so yup.” I looked at her curiously as we sat down on the couch. “How old is he?”
“Seventeen.”
My eyes got all big and wide. I excused myself, saying I wanted more juice, and went into the kitchen to investigate. I almost fainted when I walked in. He was super hot! I just got some juice and ran out of there as fast as I could, flashing him a quick smile. When I got back to Grace, I tried to sit still. But I couldn't. I told her I had to go to the bathroom.
I went to the one upstairs, and as soon as I walked in, I shut the door and locked it. Taking a deep breath, I yelled at the top of my lungs, “What a hunk!” Then and I brushed my fur and spiked some of it up, then put on some makeup I found in the drawers and used the extra pair of super awesome dangling earrings I always keep in my pocket. When I came out, I was totally rockin' it.
Grace's eyes popped at me. “What the heck did you
do, Angelic? I thought you went to the
bathroom?” she gasped, falling over with laughter. I don't know why. I looked awesome. Okay, I'm under the coffee table right now, writing this in you and humming “Best Friend's Brother” by Victoria Justice. This is awesome! Maybe break won't be so bad after all! I'm going to finish breakfast and then I'll write more, 'Kay? Bye, Journel
