Whisperwind closed his eyes as he heard someone padding over. "Good morning, Shadowheart," he meowed. Rolling over, he lay out on his side and opened his eyes, the bright jade green orbs watching the approaching she-cat.

Blueleaf tilted her head"I'll bring him to you the moment he wakes up but he'll probably wake whilst we're talking. So what do you want to talk to me about?"

Rainpelt raised a paw and licked it boredly

Drizzletide thanked him and turned back to face the camp. Spotting Whisperwind, she padded over. "Whisperwind? Would you mind joining the hunting patrol? And you as well, Shadowheart."

Whisperwind blinked tiredly at t he deputy. "Sure." He stood and shook the dust off his coat. "Will you be coming, Shadowheart?"

"Redkit is almost ready to be an apprentice, I know this isn't customary but... but I was wondering if you had an opinion of who should be his mentor... it's just he'll be the first apprentice I make and I don't want something to go wrong." Genuine worry came from her voice.

[Aviatrix]

"Yes, I think I will." Shadowheart stood up, and walked over to where the deputy was standing.

[lance.]

"Great. We'll go now." Drizzletide stood and padded back over to Tigerstripes. "Are you ready?" she asked, as Whisperwind and Shadowheart walked up behind her.

Blueleaf blinked in surprise"I don't know really,as long as you don't give him to one of my other kits I don't mind"She murmured

"Let's go!" Drizzletide turned and plunged out of the camp entrance, aware of the cats behind her.

Whisperwind sniffed the air, turning and following the scent of mouse. Moving quietly, he followed it before pouncing and grabbing it, biting it on the neck and killing it.
