I can. But it would be in a next post or something. Possibly several post since I'm not sure if there's a word limit. x3 But sure I'll try.

Here are all the other entries that were entered.

The shadows.
As long as she lived she could remember them. Those dark things that seemed to live if you looked the other way. They could make monsters of a teddy bear to scare a lonely child at night. They were scary, overpowering, and if you didn't look out for them, they could kill you. But not with Kongou. Kongou was that lonely child at night and the first thing she saw when she opened her eyes for the first time where those shadows, ready to attack her, but instead of being scared of them, she'd embraced them as her only friend. And the shadows embraced her back and took her under their care. To her, the shadows were her friend that cuddled her when she was sad, who comforted them. A father who protected her, a mother who cared for her. The shadows felt as her family. They were the save haven when she was followed or in danger. And even on the middle of the day, they were there for her. They followed and protected her, and even gave her powers to protect herself. When she was threatened, they had given her the powers to run. To walk over the air, and move freely on the surfaces of the dark shadowy waters. Instead of pulling her down and drowning her, the shadows of the waters took care of her and carried her anywhere she wanted. But the world went darker and darker and the ones who didn't embrace the shadows and loved them as a friend became possessed by them and the will to murder in them awakened. In the end, Kongou couldn't run any more. She'd run all her life, and now it was time for her to stop. She turned around and, together with her beloved shadows, she faced all those threats. The shadows were worried about her, and gave her her second powers. Now she couldn't run and be carried by the shadows of the water any more, but she was strong. Now she could fight. Her enemies laughed, and said she was just like them, possessed by the dark shadows within her. But Kongou only laughed darkly. "You wish I was," she said. They tried to attack her, but the shadows hid her in their cloaks, and they only hit the damp earth she'd stood on just a moment ago. They looked around, puzzled, and in that moment of distraction, Kongou took off the shadow's cloak and attacked them, but when they wanted to strike back, the shadow had hidden her again. Those monsters possessed by their own shadows didn't survive that day, but Kongou did. From that day on she had the power to run and the power to fight with her beloved shadows always by her side. And when she was lonely at night, she could call for her shadows, and they would come for her immediately, like an afraid child calling for her mother. But Kongou wasn't afraid. She loved the shadows, they were her life. The shadows were her past, present and future.
They were her beloved shadows...

Kongou slipped down to Earth on the darkest of nights, a night when not even the moon dared to shed a sliver of light. Despite the deep obscurity, the shadow enveloping her made an even darker stain on the gray rock. The sun slowly rose, and the fox spirit first sniffed the fetid human air with a grimace.
She had finally come to the mortal world after many years of training as Inari's messenger, going through formidable ordeals to be chosen as his envoy. The kitsune had mastered the shadow arts and the ability to shapeshift. She hard learned to walk silently on water or air as if she were on solid ground. Playful and affectionate, she had managed to make many friends among her fellow competitors despite the fierce contention between them. Her mission now was to protect the humans from the evil energy emitted by yako (other kitsune serving the god Nogitsu who try to possess the oblivious mortals.
She idly wondered how long she could stand this world as she breathed in the noxious scent of oil, smoke and gas that constantly polluted the sky and sighed. She had come here for a reason; she would not return home defeated by an odor, loathsome as it may be. She slowly exhaled and stared at the ball of fire making its way to the heavens. The sun was one beautiful thing they did not have where she lived. She leaped off the somber stone cliff she was looking out from into the lush forest below, her two tails flaring out behind her and her determined eyes glittering fiercely in the early morning shadows.

I do not know where I come from nor do I know why I sprang into existence.

The first years were strange. Floating in and out of the shadows that form her first memory, drifting from darkness to darkness and circulating around the greyish figures that try to reflect the world of the living, she didn’t care to think. She just was.

But she learned. Slowly but steadily, she started to see the proverbial light – there was so munch more than darkness and shadows and reflections, different shades of grey and faint echoes. There was a world next to what had been her world so far and it was so different from hers, so breathtakingly different that it took years and years for her to be able to partake in it. She was curious, yes, and oh so eager – she would have loved to jump right in the middle of this strange world but she couldn’t.
That is, she could. Once she had dared to separate herself from the shadows, it wasn’t really a problem anymore; once she had dared once to leave her known world, she could do it again and again. The only problem was that the humans didn’t take too kindly to her. She was stuck in her smaller form back then, not yet knowing that she had a second form or how to shift between them and she was vulnerable. Ignorance is bliss, some say, but it isn’t curiosity that killed the cat: its ignorance.

Children loved her back then and she loved them; she also loves to play and she enjoys company. The children would chase after her tail, stroke her fur and laugh at her abilities to walk both over water and in the air – they had a great time together. Sadly, this great time didn’t last long. Children will tell everything to their parents, she knows that by now and though she was wary enough of the adults to retreat every time they were near, they somehow decided to take her friends away from her. She followed them into the cities or at least she tried to. The smells were overpowering as soon as she got too near to any bigger human city and most of them reeked of things that made her head swirl and her whole body ache. The cities were inaccessible for her.
The children didn’t return and if they did, their parents were always near them, shielding them from her, guarding them. She was jealous – how dared they to take away her friends? – and angry – why didn’t her friends fight to come back to me? – and she was lonely. Desperation can lead to the funniest things sometimes. It wasn’t long until she decided to take action in order to win at least some of her friends back.
The perfect opportunity arose when a family decided to have a picnic in the middle of nowhere in a rather deep wood. She even knew the kids and she was eager to act out her revenge – oh, how she would get back at these adults! Sneaking up to them from shadow to shadow, she tried to wait patiently until the children… but it was no use. Her eagerness got the better of her and she launched herself right into the middle of the picnic rug, snarling furiously and acting as if she was three times bigger than she actually was. It didn’t work as she had imagined. Surprised and scared by her sudden appearance, the children screamed and scrambled backwards a few steps, their mother shielding them from the wild beast with her arms. And the father?
The father had grabbed a penknife and came at the apparent beast. She had no idea what a penknife was back then but it occurred to her that it had to be dangerous. Nevertheless, she was determined to fight and win her friends back so she literally threw herself at the father, still snarling like mad. He brought the knife down and pain, white, searing pain ripped through her body. Whimpering, she stumbled back, the gash throbbing and pulsating with her fast beating heart. The father, sure of his victory, followed her, the knife still raised to slash at her again.

Fear, fear and rage were all she knew in these moments. She had never felt anything like that before; the pain, the raging emotions, it all caused her to forget her affectionate and laid back personality and transform into something that was wildness and snarling and strong muscles and claws and teeth and flickering shadows that looked like dancing, fuming black flames. She never saw her friends again. In the second she had transformed in her bigger form, the whole family ran for it and she was left standing there, wondering what had happened just now.

It took a while for her to understand that she looked different and it also took a while to understand her second form. Controlling her powers came naturally to her – shifting did not. She also started to keep herself from humans, seeing as they didn’t want her company but she grew bored quickly – it was hard to play with oneself, to entertain oneself and to keep oneself company. After maybe a decade, everyone would rune out of ideas and so did she. Lazing around didn’t solve her problem either (although she still enjoyed it) and her cheerfulness started to become eerie. She didn’t know how vent it, causing it to build up and up and up to the point where it clearly crossed to border to maniacal.

It was in the early hours of morning when she finally found a way to went her playfulness. It had built up for years and years and years now, bubbling inside her with a force that she couldn’t control any longer and when she finally found the perfect target, she just was unable to resist the temptation.
She had spotted a small cottage – far away from the cities and smells and stenches – and three young men were standing on its porch, smoking and laughing. Silently, ever so silently, she crept nearer, feeling excitement raising its head inside of her. Unknowingly she had long shifted into her bigger form and dissolved herself into shadows that were crawling forward, stretching their arms towards the bright area where light from inside the cottage was pouring out in order to form a bright rectangle on the ground.
The moon wasn’t shining too brightly in that night and everything was darker than it normally was, the bright areas washed out by the darkness that surrounded them. A strong wind was chasing billows of clouds over the sky, causing nervous shadows to flicker over the ground, blotting out the star- and the moonlight wherever they went. Careful not to be seen she manifested herself again, crouched against a big rock that shielded her from the cottage, licked her lips in anticipation and felt the excitement inside her howl with rampant agitation. She was ready, oh, how she was ready!

Shadows raised and merged, dashed over the ground and mingled in the air; shadows tip-toed around the cottage and raised their heads every now and then to flutter around the edges of the lighted areas; shadows whispered and sang and howled with laughter and as she finally jumped over her rock, half shadow, half manifested being, gliding gracefully through the air until setting her paws unto ground with a thunderous snap of her tails, the three young men were running panic-stricken into the cottage and barricaded themselves in it. The whole night, the whole cottage seemed to shimmer with light.

I do not know why I came here – but at least I have something to do now, wandering, straying, my paws deciding on their own path, never staying but always ready to play.

The shadows were swirling; the parts of the darkness morphed together, swirling in shapes from gentle spirals to jagged lines, different shades of grey and black, creeping and whirling in to claim the light, cover the sun, cause an eclipse of pure darkness.
The world cowered, animals hiding in their dens and nests, waiting for the storm to pass, for the light to come back out and fill the sky.
The darkness swirled; the darkest, blackest part twisted up into a column of shadow. A tiny paw stepped out of the blackness, thin and delicate, a deep blue paw, almost black; no sheen lit the kitsune's coat, as there was no light left. But then the darkness began to blaze like fire, tongues licking at the sky. Like with normal fire, it consumed itself, losing power eventually and dying out, leaving only a tiny black form shivering on the ground. As the last bit of darkness retreated to its normal place, the kitsune raised her head, twitching enormous ears, blinking wide bright eyes... bright, but with a depth of shadow within them that couldn't be explained.
She had come from the darkness itself; they couldn't trust her. How could they? She represented all that was strange, and unknown... the phrase "in the dark" didn't come from nowhere, after all. Her personality, her mind; they were confusing, unknown to the others. They shrank back from the shivering little pup, until she found her legs and staggered to the darkness of a nearby cave, melting into the shadows like water flowing smoothly into a stream.

Kongou never knew her mother, or father for that matter. She had no siblings, and no relatives, and no one to talk to. Well, she did have adopted parents, but they really weren't much. They had no idea of her backstory either, and they didn't understand Kongou. But Kongou's weaknesses made her stronger. She was braver for them, and more understanding for others. She grew up living in almost two separate worlds, but yet they were both the same. Kongou lived in the shadows, wherever she went. But each home contained different shadows. With her adopted parents, the shadows were dark, mysterious and against her, promising nothing. In her mind, the shadows were on her side. In her other world the shadows brought adventure and possibility. She thrived in them. And so the shadows became her and her life. She followed them, chased them, watched them, copied them and learned all their tricks. Now she can perfect one herself-casting shadows during night to form illusions. Though she used to be able to "fly" and walk on water, now she is just a part of the shadows. Hidden with its beauties.

I opened my eyes to the soft sound of wind. All around me were different shades of dark light, shifting across the room. Across from me a little bit of golden sunlight put a spotlight on the concrete, just a few inches away from my nose. I look up and see it coming through a hole from the ceiling. It looked like it had been torn through, the wood on the outside rough looking.
I feel dirt underneath me, no, more like wooden shavings. I stand up and shake my fur out, looking up and seeing the top of the door. It had metal bars on the top half, but thankfully I could feel a breeze blowing through them. Suddenly it opens and in surprise I jump backwards a few feet.
But all that comes through is a large shadow with glowing neon green eyes.
"Hello, my name is Neen. You have come to live in the Shadow Place, here you will live among the wonderful Shadow's of different kinds."
"How did I get here?" My voice is shaky.
"We found you on the side of the forest. But anyway, you will feed on that sunlight over there," She flicks a barely visible shadow of a tail towards the sunlight spotlight. "and drink my the water pool in the middle of the Shadow Place, the drinking pool is right out your door."
"Ok." I say, trying to process all of this at once. I feel my feet shaking, where was I before? What is this place? Neen?
"Don't worry, your safe here. And we don't know where you were before, just that you were alone when we found you. This place is for all the shadow's to live, but we made a exception for you. You are a Special One. You will be royal of the shadow's someday my dear." She lightly flicks my forehead with her "tail", and leaves. I notice she leave's the door open so I carefully take a few paw steps out into the darkness. I feel a wet spot under my right paw, and bend down to lick the water. As soon as I feel wet on my tongue I notice my vision gets lighter. Suddenly I see many shapes of Shadow's wandering around me, their neon eyes bright, longing, and many different colors......

Kongou came from the most distant Blackspace you could find on a map—that is, if you could find a map in the middle of a tear in time and space. Kongou was born from the very shadows themselves; for when one of her kind died, another rose from the jet black cinders of his predecessor. But unusually enough, Kongou did not only have the instinct to simply stay in the shadows and hide from greater forces; she learned. She felt, unlike the other numb minded creatures she shared her corner of this lost universe with.
Kongou, after she was completely risen from these ashes, gained her powers immediately, unlike most of her “kind.” She also had a very rare talent: she could be both in the shadows and in light. Of course, she did use her powers for good, and from each of her two tails comes the power of shadows, illusions, and disappearance.

It was the land of the rising sun, and yet still there were shadows.

They were everywhere in the old shrine. They clung to the shingles of its roof, draped its windows, pooled over its floors. And as the evening sun sank down over the mountains, the shadows grew. Like finest black silk, they advanced slowly through the shrine, over the statue of its fox guardians, and into its heart, where there lay an offering to Inari, god of the harvest, and her fox spirits.

The only thing to stop their progression was a single ember where fragrant incense burned. Smoke drifted through the shrine, mingling with the shadows which lay in expectation, watching as the ember slowly faded to a mere speck of light. And then, as the sun disappeared behind the mountains, the ember went out. The shadows rushed forward, joined together over the offering and sacred incense, melded…and stirred.

The shadows spun and twisted sinuously, pulled until they resembled black thread, which began to weave itself as if on an invisible loom. The shadows formed four spindly legs, and then reached up to form a back, a neck, a head, molding themselves to form a face with two slanted eyes and a long muzzle.

All the while, the shadows were arranging themselves in varying hues, and patterns began to form: dots along the neck and back, pale diamonds on the face and legs, and a light underbelly that reached up and across the face. Finally, the shadows spun two long tails, which twisted and looped about each other as if they had minds of their own. Then the shadows ceased to move, and for a moment, all was still. Then the newly made creature opened two eyes, which shone in the darkness like starlight. It yawned and stretched, muscles moving smoothly under skin soft and dark as sable.

The kitsune, for that was what she was, looked around, but saw nothing but the darkness of the shrine. Then she spotted an open window, where pale moonlight spilled through onto the floor. She leapt for the window, then up onto the roof of the shrine. And then the kitsune surveyed her new world.

The moon shone high in the sky, illuminating fields, a forest, and the dark outlines of mountains in the distance. The smells of wood and life pervaded the air, which was filled with the sleepy sounds of animals and men. The kitsune saw, smelled, heard, and laughed. Its body rippled, fur growing longer, paws forming at the end of its legs. The roof shingles groaned under the newfound weight. At her mouth, where its pale underbelly met her face, the lighter portion curled up past her lips into a permanent smile.

When this was finished, the kitsune laughed once more, looking over her body, a smile playing over her lips. Her eyes gleamed, and her tails curled happily. What a wonderful body she had! And what a world to play in! There was no limit to the fun she could have. And so the kitsune jumped off the roof, and raced into the wilderness, looking for the start of a new adventure.

I am the daughter of the very night, a princess of darkness, a sister of shadows. I was born in a simple clearing, without a mother or a father, a true sister or a brother. A hundred and twenty-two years later, I still live. I am Kongou, a Shadow Kitsune.
The shadows danced in the air as the slim figure moved through the forest, barely making a sound. She didn’t know where she was going, all she knew was that she had to get away from that place, the place in which she was born. The screams, unrealistic as they were, still rang in her ears, hurting her physically and mentally in a way she could not describe. When she finally reached the end of the forest, she slowed to a walk, shifting forms so she could fly. Stepping into the air, she recalled those horrible things.
She appeared in a clearing, hidden from human eyes by a thick wood growing around it, separating it from the rest of the world. She learned how to control her powers, how to move her body in the first few minutes of her existence. Then, when she was prancing about the meadow in a happy dance, she heard the screams for the first time. They were coming from underneath her, beneath the earth. But, they seemed to be getting closer with each of her steps. Instinctively, she bolted, sprinting into the forest to get away from them. They didn’t follow her. It seemed that the clearing was the only place where they existed. Were they responsible for her creation? Did making her cause them that much pain? That, she did not know.
Her life from that moment wasn’t bad. She was on the move constantly, not wanting to stop in case the Screams found her again. The places she went had plenty of food, many lovely sights and attractions; she was happy.
It was early winter when she met him. The days were short and she was out, looking for something to eat, when a blinding light moved towards her, pinning her to the ground with a growl. “Who are you?” the light creature barked. As her eyes slowly became accustomed to the bright canine, she blinked at him in surprise. “Kongou.” she whispered. “And you would be?” she added quickly, relieved when he let go of her. “None of your business.” He growled, loping away, seemingly gone.
He came back the next day; she noticed him hanging around near the place she slept. This time, she wasn’t so friendly though. “Why are you bothering me and what are you?” she hissed. He looked at her in surprise, a smile appearing on his face. “You can call me Ri. I’m the exact opposite of what you are, Shadow Princess.” He answered mockingly, walking closer to her and rubbing his head against her coat. It made her shiver and she stepped back from him. “Leave me alone. I do not know you and am not sure I want to.” She whispered, backing away as he came closer. “Oh, Princess, don’t be scared of me. I won’t hurt you.” He hissed, still edging towards her. A light touch from his claws and everything went black.
When she woke up, the first thing she saw was Ri. She shuddered and tried to move away from him, but discovered that something was keeping her in place. “I didn’t say you could run away.” The cold, matter-of-fact way he said this made her yelp and scramble away even more. “It’s sun rays. They won’t yield for you, Shadow Princess. Don’t even try.” The unspoken question of what exactly he meant by telling her not to try hovered in the air, making the silence even more uncomfortable than it already was. “We were destined to be mates. So the energy would be right again and things like that. I think I like you already, actually.” He barely explained, that sick smile on his face yet again. “Mates?” Kongou squeaked, staring at him with wide eyes. “You know, a pair. Meant to have children and everything.” He added, smirking at her. She wasn’t weak, but those words made her feel a bit faint. And when he touched her with a claw again, she went completely out once more. When she woke up this time, he was gone, the light had parted, and she was alone. She briefly thought about staying here and ‘righting the energy’ as Ri had said, but shook off that thought quickly and scampered outside, out of the crazy Kitsune’s grasp. It was easy, but he did not follow her. Or maybe he did, but she just didn’t see him. She took extra precautions, barely sleeping, moving through the air instead of on ground like she used to. After a while, it turned easy again. The fear that he would find her ebbed away and she turned back into the person she used to be. Now, over a hundred years later, she still wonders what he meant by righting the energy and catches herself thinking about what would happen if she stayed. Those moments are rare, though, and most of the time, she just leads a happy life, simple, but lonely.
But, after all this time, she has found out one thing. She now knows that she was created by humans; a million dollar experiment made to try to harness the elements. It didn’t work out because of the pure energy needed to create her; the humans could not control it, and it destroyed them. The screams she had heard when she woke were the cries of the dying humans, killed by the power needed for her to live. She never wants to think about what happened, she doesn’t want to find out more, because she blames herself for the deaths of those unfortunate humans, even though she was not yet alive when they perished. She may be unfair to herself, but this fact urges her to live well, to help any human in need in any way, no matter small. This fact makes her want to be good.

I was not born. Nor do I have a mother or father. I do not have siblings, and I am not human.

How I came to be is a great mystery, to myself and to everyone else. One day I simply woke up. Alone. In an empty place. A forest, I believe.

When you are alone, how do you survive? When you are alone, how do you learn? When you are alone, how do you know what to do with yourself?

I didn't know. I just didn't.

I forgot to tell you my name. It's Kongou. I am a creature of the shadows. I am one with the night. I am the one you should fear. I am a Kitsune of Legends.

At night, when you are young, and you are afraid of the night, you have a reason to be. There are many evil creatures of the night, like vampires and werewolves, that prey on young children. If you do not believe me, then why is it always young children that disappear in the middle of the night? It is because they taste nice, the vampires say. It is because they believe in everything and so scream even louder, the werewolves say.

And I am the one who protects you from them. But my kind, too, are feared. Maybe it is because of our teeth, or because of our twin tails, or maybe because we are stuff of Legends.

But I am not hear to tell you of the creatures of the night. I am here to tell you my story. My blood filled story.

When I came into this world, I was alone. We are born from the shadows, from death, from fear. But we also come from hope. No one really understands why we come from the shadows, us included. This means we have no parents or siblings and that we are alone when we first materialise.

I came to in a forest in the beginning of time. There was nothing else in the forest, in the trees. It was a lonely place. It became my home. It still is my home. I materialised as an adult Kitsune. Everyone comes at a different age. After a few years of just living in the forest, eating nothing and drinking nothing, something different happened. These creatures came, talking. And something strange happened to me.

I was suddenly near them. They said they were humans, and that they knew what I was. It made a change since I did not know what I was. They said that they had heard rumours about something living in the lifeless forest, and it had led them to me.

They bound me, and I felt pain. For months they travelled with me as their captive, until they came across another. A male this time. He told me what I was, and told me about our job. It was that night that the creatures came across us. They looked eerily like the humans, and the male Kitsune beside me told me their name. Vampires. They drained the humans of their blood, and turned to us. My fellow Kitsune was killed, and they left me be.

For years I travelled, free of my captives. I mourned the male Kitsune, who's name I did not know. I became vulnerable to the light, and returned to my true form with two tails. It became my mission, like other Kitsune, to protect the human race. It seemed like all were not like my captives. I killed many vampires, and werewolves.

Occasionally I would come across another of my kind, and they would teach me more of our ways. But they would die whenever they were with me, killed by the other creatures of the night. I was known throughout the night, and not to humans. I preferred it this way, and I wouldn't get close to anyone.

Eventually I visited my old home, the forest. But it wasn't there. The humans had destroyed it. Now I was more powerful, unstoppable even. I killed everyone in that village before I continued on my way. I killed many humans, but eventually my anger faded. I returned to the killing of creatures of the night. It took four centuries.

Now, I'm here. Thousands dead in my name. And I couldn't be happier.

I could hear voices. They were hissing around me, talking about me like I couldn't hear them.

"Urgh! What is that...thing?!" spat one. Another growled back, "Be silent! That 'thing'," the other voice was gentler now - "is my creation."

Creation? I am no creation!

"But what is it?" the first asked with a grumble.

"This is the first of my new species....shadow kitsune." The second voice replied to the first and I felt something take hold of me. I tried to get away but, being unable to see yet, was caught up by the unseen force.

"Now now," said the second voice. "Don't worry. I'm Doctor Kishton. I won't hurt you." There was something in its voice that calmed me. I stopped squirming and he stroked me. "Now, then, open your eyes, little one."

Open my eyes? How? How do I open my eyes? I stretched my face until two slits opened and I could suddenly see everything. I was in a large room with four blocks letting in light. A human stood above me, smiling. Beside him was a scowling female.

"Tomas, don't you think it could be dangerous when it grows?"

"Yes," Doctor Kishton replied, "I do. That's why I will clone her and make a male, and release them into the Black Forest." What was the Black Forest? It sounded like a great place. "Hopefully this first kitsune will mate with the male and create a whole species."

The female looked at him skeptically. "There's no guaruntee that they will create your new species, Tomas."

"I know," Doctor Kishton. "I'm going to keep the two in a pen together and get them to know each other. Once they are old enough to mate, I will let them into the Black Forest."

Wait a minute, who said I wanted to go to this Black Forest place? Maybe I wanted to stay here in the warm, loving hands of this man. Although, I don't like the way the female is looking at me. She looks kind of like she doesn't like me. I let out a squeak and she backed away. "It barked at me!" she hissed.

"It's all right, Felicia," Tomas said, putting me down and turning to her. "It is only a pup right now. It will be fine. Go on, why don't you touch it?" Felcia looked at me doubtfully. I thought I saw a sparkle of fear in her blue eyes. I blinked up at her calmly. It's all right, I thought. I want to be your friend.

Felicia reached out a hand and touched me on the head. I let out a happy sigh and Tomas smiled. "She likes that."

"I'm going to call her Kongou. Welcome into the world, Kongou."

In a forest into the depths of Japan, shadows blackened the ground and the sun was unseen. The shadows started to bulk up and writhe, a squirrel sniffed the shadow that was now taking form to something much bigger than itself and the squirrel disappeared into the black.. Soon the animals in that part of the forest ran out, the shadows swallowing any of the stragglers left behind. It was dangerous, sly, cunning and intelligent. The trees whispered to each other "shes coming" and it traveled, suddenly she was there. the shadows dissipated and she opened her small, lean muzzle. "My name... My name is Kongou, i have left my old forest, and now i am this forest's gaurdian" her voice was beautiful, lulling the animals and the trees into her shadows, but those who went near got sucked up into her surrounding shadows and made her stronger. "Welcome Kongou" the forest responded in deep awe. She smiled evilly.

A moon later, the beings of the forest still unsure whether to trust this kitsune, a human came to the forest.. he didn't notice when his boots got stuck in the thick shadows or when he was attacked by leaves, the human just carried on with his axe, whistling. Kongou awoke with a growl. She melted into the shadows of her forest and hunted the axeman. she switched to her first form and tiptoed over the lake, her gray body unseen against the gray waters. When she was on land she switched into her second and most beloved form, she batted a playful paw in the air "this is going to be fun" she said with a smirk. she crept up to the axeman with a snarl, quiet but noticeable. he looked around and dropped his axe. she flicked her first tail up and created a shadow around his body, engulfing him so tight he couldn't move, she leaped at him and tore at his throat, the man grabbed her neck and shook her. The air was gone and she could not breathe, she struggled and eventually a claw sliced down the mans neck and he fell limp. she got a wicked gleam in her eye "mess with my forest, you mess with me! Kongou wins again!" she yowled triumphantly and the trees and the animals cheered quietly.

I sat in shade of some trees. The same trees I became who I am. I have no family, I have no brothers or sisters. I'm here. Just me. Just me and shadows. Just me and the world that I have to face. Its almost like everyone is against me. I slowly begin to close my eyes. I try to blink them open but I was so tired. I slowly drifted into sleep.

It was as if my dream took me back. Back to when I first saw the world, and when the world first saw me. I cant completely understand what happened. It was right here, where I am sleeping now. People where coming to this forest. No one knew of this forest. Hidden, a secret until now. People where afraid of what might be here. They didn't understand that everything was the same. Just a plain old forest. Scientists began taking samples of what they thought might cure cancer. They where plan plants. All besides one. It was red and black. The liquids inside where golden and bright. Scientists had no idea that this flower could kill or heal but not in the way they expected.

That when i came. The scientists began experimenting. Nothing worked. Most thought it was useless and began just leaving it out in random spots. In this circled of trees was a shadow that never left. Never would go away. The trees bent over and make a shield against the sun. Once the liquid was left and knocked over. The liquid began to slowly creep along and got through the circle. A tree in the circle began to slowly die. Soon it just dropped, looked unhealthy and dead.

Not long ago a young wolf had came. Hunters where after him. They knew about this place. Just a pup he didn't know where to hide. He ran into the circle of trees squishing himself to get in. He stood there the dark shade protecting him. But still the hunter came after him. Soon a huge "BANG!" was heard. The young pup yelped in pain as he was shot in the shoulder. Blood slipped down and on the ground. The pup ran and got out of the circle of trees. The blood went into the ground.

The liquid soaked into the ground too. It combined with the blood of the wolf. Soon out of the shadows a wolf formed. A shadow wolf. A wolf named Kongou.

Konny will always run, she runs from everyone. Her real name isn’t even Konny, it is Kongou. Kongou has no one, and when I say no one, I mean no one. She is a loner, no friends, no family, no mate. She wasn’t born! She was... Made... 122 years ago. She was made a female. She was made from the shadows...
Her appearance is somewhat disturbing, her nose is set quite high on her head, and her ears can turn 360o! Her claws are long and sharp, it could slice even the thickest of wood open in one swipe.
She can change forms however, in her first form she is so light she can walk across water, and air! Although she is more vulnerable in this state and can easily be seen or worse attacked.
Her second form is much cooler, and so is her power. She is much heavier and therefore can’t walk on air. She can dissolve into shadows and literally make them as well. This is obviously a family trait, or makers trait. The shadow has to be dark enough though. Her shadow-making can only happen at night, when it is dark enough. Using this she creates shadows to form illusions to scare and trick anyone passing.
However, she has more interesting power in this form. She can easily and literally dissolve into shadows when a shadow is dark enough in certain lights. She can also create shadows, but only at night. She uses these to form illusions of sorts to trick any passing being.
Her paws are scraping wildly across the woodland floor. She can see the shadows approaching her. She is scared.
She has a flashback of how she was created. The shadows, coming towards her. With a long, pointy needle in their imaginary hands. She fastforwarded the pain it was when they thrust it into her arm. She was ‘born’ from a liquid, a needle. The shadows...

Amazing, what the shadows do when the people are away.
It was a plain, ordinary day within the deepest parts of the forest. Eerie, even a bit gloomy, but silent. Beautiful, cherished silence. Quiet that will stay in your ears until you die, in peaceful serenity. The shadows liked these days best. Days where there was no one to watch them tangle and play but the birds and the trees. Days where they could slither across the ground and over rocks, spinning delightfully in the fresh morning air, with nothing but silence to be their companion. Shadows seemed to prosper in silence, when they were their darkest... but on this plain, ordinary morning, something was different. Only two shadows romped under the pines, twisting and spinning closer and closer, like some dark whirlwind. And despite all their turning, kicking up leaves and dirt, there was no noise, not even a rustle. Just the pure, cherished silence.

A vague shape started forming in the midst of the shadows, something canine. UNFINISHED

Kongou walked alone. That's how it has always been. The shadows where her only companions as she explored the midnight trails. And they where good company. That was because they where in her soul. They where her. She was born of night itself. The silhouettes where her siblings, the moon her mother. That's the closest thing she had to family, and she liked it that way. Her soul was darkness, and she was content that her company be the same. She smiled wickedly, this was who she was.

unicornblood07 and ✿♥ฬαтɛɾмεℓσภ♥✿'s accounts were deleted apparently so their entries were automatically deleted from my Inbox. I probably should have saved them elsewhere.. I have no idea who they are now. They should have told me beforehand who they would be. I guess they didn't care about this contest anymore is what I figure.

I agree with Kimmy, It did take me a long time to read, but Rolly really covered all bases.

My second favorite was the one by Varami, it is still very detailed and it still represented her character in what it is meant to be, a goddess of the night.

Aww, thank you all. You almost make me cry <3
I'll be sure to read every story! Just don't have the time right now to read them all D:

And @ kimmy
Your story doesn't have to be really long to be really good =3 You can write short and brilliant stories as well. Just keep on writing! ^^

EDIT: I've read the stories now! They're great ^^ Keep it up =)

Second EDIT: And I've noticed that I inserted a paragraph twice while I was revising the story *cough* x"D Near the end when the nine-tails explains how Kongou came to be...
