A NEW SYSTEM FOR TRADE SETTINGS

I propose a new setting for trade groups: A function that allows you to quickly access which groups are locked to all trades, friend trades only, or unlocked. Such a function would not stop, but would certainly reduce the amount of extremely unfair trade offers that all players, new and old, are currently getting. Terris created a Trade Rant Thread on Wednesday, March Eleventh, 2009 at 4:32 AM. Since they created that thread, as of 10:29 PM on Tuesday, November Tenth 2009, it has gotten over 40400 views and over 2600 posts. The vast majority of these posts are complaints about the current wave of noobish trade offers, like pets from last month (the noob's side) for rares from 2008 (the ranter's side) if you would like to see these ridiculous offers yourself, please, do not hesitate to click the link below.

Nick and Tess, hear our plea. Free us from the disgusting trade offers. Add a feature to the site that lets members quickly assess which of their groups are locked, and which are open to unfair trades.

Also, I would like to specify:
Newb/ newbie: someone who is new. This does not necessarily mean that they are rude, stupid, stubborn, and just plain mean. We were all, at one point or another, newbies.

Noob: Anyone who is rude, mean, stupid, or anything else that disrupts the peace of CS. They can be a newb or an older player, and they make things hard for the rest of us.

But yes, I agree - I'm terrified i'm going to lose a hard to replace pet by accident one day, because of that.

No, no... there's over 260 PAGES and over 2600 POSTS

It would be nice to know which trade groups I've already locked at a glance rather than having to dig into each and every one.

It would be nice to have one page where you could manage the trading on all of your groups, but I don't think its a necessity. You can scroll to the bottom of the page and check each group. Slightly time consuming, but you only have to do it once. That takes what? 10 minutes? Even if you have a whole ton of groups I doubt it would take all that long.

You just have to remember when you make a new group to edit the trade settings.

Okay, so this would be a good idea, for people who have a ton of groups.

But I think the idea is a little wacked. They're either noobs or scammers sending those trade, locked groups will only deter noobs.

So I agree with the concept, just not with the exact reasoning.

No, when I say 'over 2600' I mean OVER 2600. take a look, thats what the link is for. And I've changed the main statement a bit, see if thats more of a reasonable request.
