Oh man, this is turning out great! I've tried this plot before, but this set of characters seem more inquisitive. It's interesting to see everyone's interpretations of Swanhill and everything.))

Nora sighed, running a hand through her hair as she looked between Corby and the mute boy. She was at a loss. There didn't seem to be much of anything to do here- she couldn't just go back to watching the movie, of course, now that these two were here. Besides, she wanted to meet more of the family. She didn't know if the boy was a foster kid, like she and Corby seemed to be, or if he was the biological son of the family. That seemed important to know.
"So," she said, breaking the silence and turning to the boy. "Are you one of the kids here, or are you new like us? I mean, there is a family, right?"

And, go ahead and edit the map. Maybe you could just convert one of the downstairs bedrooms? I really appreciate your doing this, by the way. I'd drawn a floorplan but it was so failtastic I didn't use it. XD))

Dakar lifted his eyes to Juli's face with effort. His thoughts felt foggy; his senses dulled.
"Yeah...food," he agreed. "Let's find some food."
He hauled himself to his feet, holding out a hand to help Juli up. She looked tired, too. Dakar felt like be might take a nap later, after he ate. His dreams were the only place he felt safe. In his dreams, he knew none of it was real. When he was awake, everything was something to be afraid of.
"I want...a Thanksgiving dinner," he murmured, rubbing his eyes. "What 'bout you?"

Corby's brow furrowed. "Family?" she repeated. Surely this wasn't a family's home. No family would kidnap other children. They would be insane.
"I hope this isn't a family," she said. "Those parents would have to be horrible. No sane person would abduct kids of the streets just to...to foster them. That's crazy!"

Just as Juli was listening to Dakar, she thought she smelled food...And it was coming from a now opened door next to where the theatre was. On an impulsive rampage, she grabbed Dakar's arm and practically dragged him into the open room, which consisted of a small room with a kitchen in one corner, and two tables for 3 people each. There was smorgasboard of food one one of the tables, with lobster, crab, chowder, breadsticks, salad, cheese biscuits and butter. There were plates set on the tables, and nametags that rotated in hourly shifts for who would eat when. But there was no sign of staff members..... The stove and other appliances were clean and cold, albeit old, but they looked like they hadn't been used since 1962... except for the fact that they had been dusted. "Well... our names are here on this table, and we have a seafood thanksgiving dinner...so, should we eat?" Juli offered, taking her hoodie off and laying it over the back of her chair. She pulled out the chair and sat down, wondering where to begin. "They even have Sun-Drop" to drink... I think they know more about me than I do" Juli mumbled to herself.

((ps, In the floorplan, the arcade and the gym are in the same room, just partitioned off.
Also, I made just enough rooms for everybody on here because it's a manor, not a casino xD

Dakar was shocked when Juli grabbed his hand and pulled him down the hall, into another empty room. He was even more shocked when he saw the amount of food that was laid out for them. It was like someone had expected them to be hungry.
He cautiously poked a turkey leg to make sure it wasn't an Illusion. "Do you think it's safe to eat?" he asked.

Juli turned around to face Dakar. "Do you think it's safe not to eat?" she said in a rather sarcastic manner. She grabbed a big pile of the lettuce, spinach, egg and raisin salad and set it on her plate. "How do they know our favourite foods?" juli asked Dakar, puzzled, and a bit afraid. "But hey, you got thanksgiving in summer, and I got seafood in the middle of nowhere, so I'm happy for now." She concluded, drizzling some of the orange vinegarette on her salad. She cracked open crab leg and laid the contents on top of her salad.
