Of all the species out there, this one I find really interesting and would LOVE to adopt. Mostly since they are wolves that interact with the moon spirit stuff, which is a main component of my own fursona. She wears a necklace representing the Triple Moon Goddess.

what actually made me get the whole idea was how the moon changes the tides of the ocean depending on the phase it's in... I thought of the moon pulling the souls of these wolves closer to them, strengthening them... And then the rest sort of came to me after the initial idea.

also I'm thinking about the dark moon spirit tribe not only wearing skulls, but the actual heads of animals. Like... they fit it on their head so that their head comes out of the animal's mouth. Obviously it would have to be a big animal when that happens, but it could probably be the head of a bear, or lions (there are lions on Aurion... but I would have to help people with the design because they are also slightly different), or maybe giant snakes. I suppose even a giant eagle would be neat. I was thinking the alpha brother of the dark tribe could wear the head of a snake... like an anaconda or something. I was thinking they would go through a purifying ritual so they wouldn't deteriorate, but other than that they are good to go.

I love how the animals you choose are all predators, rather than having the head of a horse or other large prey. Some who are dark enough could were the head of another wolf perhaps? Or the alpha could, unless you already decided on his design. Of course there has to be a healer. In some cases the healer is the alpha as well. It all depends on how you imagine the alpha. As a wise leader, or a strong leader.

yeah, I was thinking either the full moon vs new moon, but the thought also crossed my mind that perhaps they are strongest on both nights.... because of the whole other side of the moon would be dark/lit anyway, though they couldn't see it. But then there's the whole idea that it's really full every night we just don't see the complete area and blah blah blah so I'm not sure <:/

And to be honest the alpha of the dark moon tribe is a little.... crazy. he's smart, but the hatred he feels for his brother has consumed him completely so that he can not think, sleep, relax...

Criminally insane would be the best way to describe it, I guess.
