About the Torchwood-Doctor Who anagram thing
In 2005, the whole 'Doctor Who is returning' thing was a big secret, so they labelled all the tapes 'Torchwood'. It was only later that they decided to use the name in Series 2

I wish I were a dalek, and I have a soft spot for them. The Doctor, with my soft spot for Daleks, that is the only instance excluding when I shove the cold harsh reality into someones face, that the Doctor is the villian. The other instance is when he freaking killed his family, his friends, even the kindly old hermit behind his house.

I have a soft spot for Daleks too (they're my first memory of anything Who related), but that doesn't mean that I could ever side with them as an entire race. You feel bad for the one in Dalek, sure. You find Dalek Caan funny, sure. But Daleks are spacenazis. They are not for sympathising with.

Yeah, the Doctor kills people (;-; the hobo behind his house <3), but he deals with the consequences afterwards. Daleks have no conscious. They just kill people. In the grand scheme of things, from a human perspective, the Doctor is the lesser of the evils.

Also watched "New Earth" last night because I wanted to see the parts with Cassandra in the bodies of the Doctor and Rose. Then I thought, "Oh what the heck, just watch the whole thing!" SO I DID. His voice kind of cracks at "beating out a samba" which makes me laugh every time.

He was good in Planet of the Spiders <3 I don't know if he'll turn up again but I was really excited to meet him because of that really good story that the Doctor told Jo about learning to see everything that was beautiful about the world <3
