Luca swatted away at nothing, he had stayed at Pride-Rock. He saw the smoke and began to run towards it. "Tara!" He yelled.

Shenzi looked up. Rain. That actually feels quite nice; I don't see why other animals mind it. I guess it was probably a good idea to procrastinate in my decision to go back to the Graveyard. She noticed flames in the distance. The lions will probably get trapped in there. Serves them right! But...wait... She sniffed the air. Do I smell a meerkat? Meerkats were small, but they were certainly easy prey. I just hope that this one doesn't propose to me like Timon did once.

Kijani watched Vitani walk away into some tall grass, it looked like she was searching for something, probably just food. Thinking that the coast was now clear, the meerkat stepped slowly out of the small green bush and continued onwards. But after she had taken just three steps, there was a loud rumble, Kijani instantly looked around her for any sign of lions, but then realised that it was just thunder. Well that's just brilliant, she thought sarcastically, running quickly over to a tall termite mound. I might as well find shelter before the rain comes, she leaned back against the mound, but this termite mound should keep the rain off me for a while.

Nala stood there for a split second as she watched the horror unfold beneath her. Nala raced down priderock. As she approached the fire she called for Kiara and then rest. She waited for an answer from them.

Kiara heard her mother calling her but Kiara's lungs were filled with so much smoke that she couldnt call her mother to tell her where she was. Tara's once pure white silky pelt was now covered in black smoke and her pelt had turned a gray color and Tara had passed out. Narana just barely said "nala, were here" Narana fell to the ground and Kiara shortly after followed her tumble. The lionesses laid there.

"Tara!" Luca called louder. He was getting closer to the flames now. He looked for a way he could get his little body through without being burned. His pelt was soaking wet, thinking irrationally, he jumped through the flames.

Tara lifted her head by instinct to Luca's calls for her she said in a raspy voice "Luca what are you doing, you need to get out of here" she tried to say but she fell unconsious again.

Nala bravely ran through the smoke and flames to find them. She then saw them. Tara and Narana were unconsious and Kiara was gagging from the smoke. She then called for Simba before she grabbed Kiara by the scruff and brought her over to safety. "Stay there." Nala ordered in a very serious tone. She ran back into the heavy smoke to find the others. She grabbed Narana by the scruff and gently flipped Tara onto her own back. She moved about a mile a second but she NEEDED to get them out. Ten feet before where Kiara was Nala started coughing uncontrolably. She coughed and coughed untill she smoke had taken over her lungs. The last thing she saw before she blanked out was her daughter.
