Welcome to the Snail Bath RP!

Welcome to the mythical glade, more commonly known as the "Snail Bath"

Legend has it that the creatures hatched from the magical waters of the bath take on an unnatural hue.
Too bad the only thing explorers and scientists have found so far are... snails.
They seem harmless enough, so why not take a few home?

What?
The government has gotten wind of unusual snails discovered in an unusual place. People go there in hope to bond with one of the snails and take them home. But the government can never leave well enough alone. They started to send in people to take the snails for experiments and tests, needless to say these 'tests' are inhumane and end with the snail in pain for hours on end. The people who owned these snails were quickly hunted down to experiment on the bond formed between the pair. The humans after finding this out started to disappear into hiding. For the snails own good the humans caused a rock fall to block the entrance, no one knows how but the wall suddenly became impenetrable, leaving the government frustrated and angry, intent on hunting down the remaining snails and their humans...

Not much is known about the right now.
Scientists and Archeologists are, at this very moment,
working to uncover its mysterious creatures and culture.
In the meantime some of the species there were deemed
safe to be domestic pets. The first stage of the creature
seems to be an avian-type egg laid in some type of crystal
that is common in the area. It tends to hatch within a week
into a large snail. Shown below is the most common type.

Snails with a mane of flower petals have been discovered!
These snails are usually located by the fragrant smell they
give off. According to locals, if a flower petal lands on
the snail egg, it is an indication that it will hatch into
a flower snail.

Ack! We found these creepy little monster snails.
They seem to pop up at night- and most frequently
during ghost storytelling. Other than being slightly
evil-looking, these snails aren't much different.

Woah! Look at this snail! Isn't that interesting?
...Just kidding. We kind of cheated on this one
The heart snail is genetically altered so that the
shell takes on this heart shape. These are given
out as prizes for contests- good luck getting one!

While sizes vary, a trend has been discovered that links the
snail's size to the owner's palm. These curious animals seem
to enjoy resting in your hand- inconvenient for you, but
apparently comfortable for them. Males tend to leave a trail
of slime as they walk move while females do not. The snails'
diet consists of water, leaves, and yogurt. (Maybe Icecream)[/center]

Quick thinker though is very quiet and secretive. Her thoughts are never said without thinking first. She may look pretty, but she hates being called cute or anything of the sort. She would rather be in someones hand sleeping with no one fussing over her. Her warm personality makes it hard not to like her. Perhaps its the way she moves from one place to anouther with such calmness and serenity. She looks and is gentle, very gentle indeed. Her petals reresent grace, though Mas ignores this and tells herself she is strong and powerful.

Personality: Quilt is selfless, always putting other's needs before her own. She is always there to comfort and assist, just like her namesake was there for her owner when her owner was little. Her bright colors allude to her bright personality, although this is also a bad thing, because she is easily spotted. Thanks to her unique pattern and near infinite patience, however, she can sit still as a statue and pretend to be a stuffed animal. The only downside to her motherly compassion and perpetually cheerful demeanor is that she stubbornly refuses to tell others when she is sad or in need of help. Quilt loves nothing more than to cuddle up in her owner's palm. She is completely bonded to her owner, and fears ever having to part from her.

Personality:
Quiet and shy. She is young, yet very mature and can handle anything said to her. She prefers to be hidden and in her own world than sharing it with others. Her eyes only view pain in the world.

History:
Rebecca was beaten and torn. She ran away from home after persuasion from her freinds, and ended up in a worse situation than already made at the house. Her mum and dad didn't exsist anymore to her. They gave birth so they could beat her up. They shout, harras and abuse in many diffrent ways to their poor inncocent daughter. She is unpopular at school, so finds it hard to get freinds. Very hard to get freinds. Infact, at an age of twelve, she should have had plenty. Only one, who lasted for two weeks then went off with someone else.

She ran away anyway, then stumbled upon a group of older guys who seemed to be selling snails? She began to look closer, eyeing her favourite ones up. "|How much?.." She spoke, her eyes widening with joy.

Personality: Alyss is a shy girl, who is dependent on others for her own well-being. She is quiet and meek, leading most people to pass right over her. She clings tightly to those she knows well, as it's hard for her to make new friends and meet new people. She is a sweet girl, if you take the time to get to know her, and can often be found helping the small critters others ignore.
History: Alyss has always had a good relationship with her parents, probably because she has no other friends or people to talk to. She's just far too shy to make an effort to be social. She led a mostly normal life, aside from having no friends, up until Quilt.
Alyss found Quilt at the age of thirteen (almost fourteen) when she was following her parents home on their return from a concert in the nearby park. They had just moved to the neighborhood, so Alyss had been dragged along to the concert to 'socialize'. As they walked, she noticed a group of young boys hunched in a circle, armed with sticks, poking at a brightly colored object. Summoning up her courage, she walked over and scooped up the colorful thing. It turned out to be a rather affectionate snail. They have been together ever since. Unfortunately, Alyss had gotten lost and separated from her parents by the time she had finished admonishing the children, and so her goal is not only to save the snails but also to find her parents.

Personality: Bailey is outgoing, adventerous, and funny. She likes to take the lead and is very ambitous. She knows how to get people to listen. But watch out, Bailey has a pitch-black dark side.

History: Formerly a farm girl who loves animals, saw that the government was recruting people to search for something. Her ambitiousness kicked in, and suddenly wanted to be a high rank on the search team. She joined right away.

Personality: He is quite a reserved one person snail. He dosn't like socializing with other snails or people and can never be seen away from Nix, however he is quite loyal and would stick by his friends no matter what.
Other: An unusual snail as he prefers to sit on Nix's shoulder rather than her hand but at night he can usually be found there.

History: Her family was killed in a housefire when she was young, she grew up on the streets, evading the authorities and running away from every orphanage and foster home, she found her snail at the snail bath when she was 12, she is now 14.
