Adeira Foxtail {♀} .:&&:. Arakei {♂}
She threw herself onto center stage with such grace, it looked as though she should've been flying. She twirled and twirled, her innocent rose-pink eyes never settling upon one audience member for more than a split second. Her small, delicate paws glided across the stage, the spotlight following her every movement being the only thing that made you know she hadn't taken off on angelic wings; Her whole demeanor suggested she was heavenly.
The roses twined into her tail smelled of a sweet fragrance, much like her whole self. The beads around her neck flew about with her, clicking almost silently in her smooth movements. Her shimmering, violet bangs somehow remained in a perfect style, though it seemed so much more adequate for them to be messy. She moved so quickly she should be covered in sweat; Yet not even one tiny bead appeared, and her odor was far from unpleasant.
All-in-all, she was beautiful, her slim body so great and her entire being completely perfect. She was as fluid as a river, as graceful as a swan, as silent as the wings of an owl.
I was brought out of my trance-like state when the crowd errupted in applause. Dozens of lilacs and lillies were thrown onto the stage, piling up into a lovely bouquet. She tied them all together using a single red ribbon that I did not know the original wherabouts of. A beautiful, pure white smile broke onto her face as she took a bow, and the announcer came out to give a few words.
"That was our star dancer, Adeira Foxtail, with a lovely progression to go along with that wonderful snippet of Beethoven's original serenade, Moonlight Sonata. Wasn't she just amazing?"
Once again, the crowd smacked their hands together in thunderous applause, whoops and cheers and even a few bold, drunken - and quite rude, if I may say - whistles and howls mingling in.
Adeira took a second bow, the flowers clasped loosely in her magical paws. She then stepped off stage, and I noticed something; Not only did she dance with utter breathtaking talent, even the way she strode backstage showed some sort of intricate art, some sort of beauty that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Either way, she was just as great onstage as she was off.
And I felt the urge to meet her. To get to know the proud, confident woman I no-doubtedly knew she had to be, without the bright spotlight or the music or the hounding crowd. I was so immersed in my thoughts that I hadn't noticed the bartender speak.
"I said, what'll it be?"
"Oh, um... A Cosmopolitan, I suppose."
The bartender whipped up the drink and slid it towards me. I took a sip, and before I knew it, the martini glass was empty. I pulled off the lemon wedge, sucking on it - I had a taste for anything sour, and the fact that the lemon juice was quite rich in it's sour flavouring didn't bug me at all. I was about to order another one, when I met her eyes, and found myself standing, walking over to her. "I must say, that was a very interesting preformance, Miss Foxtail."
"Thank you." she replied in her beautiful breathy Russian accent. "And please, call me Adeira. You are?"
"Arakei. Pleasure to meet you, Adeira."
"Likewise, Arakei. How did you like the show?"
"I was absolutely captivated. But I bet you hear that from a lot of guys, right?"
Adeira laughed. "No, most of the time I get sexual comments about my appearance and drunken invitations to guys' houses."
I chuckled. "Not to be one of those guys, but you truly are stunning."
She blushed. I could barely tell due to her almost-identical fur color, but I did notice. "Why, thank you. If I may say, you're quite the handsome fellow yourself, Arakei."
((Continue?
Also, to really get the feel of Adeira's accent, visit this page, scroll down, and listen to two samples: Listen to the second last one for the sound of her if she were to be speaking English like she is, and listen to the very last one for the whispery-ish-ness of her voice.))((Thanks for the comments peoples.
@*Sasha* - I'm glad you liked Nai and Scar. I'm kinda sad that I ended their story, but at least it's off on a happy ending.))
Adeira Foxtail {♀} .:&&:. Arakei {♂}
"Do you have any other preformances? I'd love to attend."
Adeira nodded, her violet hair bobbing slightly as she did so. "I have another show tomorrow night in Turanyk."
"Turanyk... That's almost eighteen hours away, correct?"
"Correct."
I bit my lip. I couldn't possibly just ditch my work and my future family to see a show.
"I'd love for you to come." she murmured, running the tip of her claw over my silken pinkish-purple tie.
This wasn't right. I had a loving fiancé. We were going to get married, buy a house near the beach, have a son. Did I really want to risk that to see some stunning, magical dancer twirl about a lit stage in a sparkly outfit to beautiful music?
"I'll be there."
I should really think things through more before I speak.
Her full, glossy pink lips curled into a pearly smile. "Great! I can't wait to see you again."
"Adeira, we gotta get on the road now if we're gonna make it to Turanyk in enough time." a man who I assumed was her manager spoke, gesturing for her to come.
"One second, Mr. Tidir." Adeira took a pen out of her black jacket. She took my hand, and began writing a series of numbers in the dark blue ink. She finished and looked up at me. "I'll see you tomorrow, Arakei! Call me!" she said, before scurrying off out the door that Mr. Tidir held open for her.
I glanced at my hand, reading the number. It was entitled, 'Adeira's number'. The 'i' was dotted with a heart, and a quickly drawn - but still perfect - heart was drawn underneath, followed by the number. I assumed it was a cell number due to the starting. A smile overcame my face, blocking out the fact that I'd need something to tell my fiancé.
Marilyn crawled over to me in her satin pink nightgown. She put a paw to my bare chest, placing a kiss to my lips. "I can't wait for the wedding, dear."
"Neither can I." I smiled, taking her paw in mine. That was when her smile disappeared.
She brought the back of my paw up to my face, gesturing at the number. "What is this?" she questioned accusingly.
My smile slipped off my face. What to say, what to say? "A number?" bad reply.
"Who in the world is Adeira?"
"A friend from work." I lied, hoping I sounded convincing.
"Oh. Why do you have her number?"
"We're going on this business trip tomorrow. I'm meeting her in Turanyk. I have to leave real early, so I should get to sleep."
"But... that's seventeen hours away."
"Eighteen, actually."
Marilyn scowled. "When will you be back?"
I shrugged, rolling over to turn off my bedside lamp. "Two days or so."
"Or so?"
"Look, there's no reason to be so paranoid. There's nothing going on between Adeira and I."
"The hearts on your paw suggest different."
"I love you, Mari. I wouldn't cheat on you. I need to get to sleep." I pressed my lips to hers. "Love you, night."
She smiled in relief, reaching over to turn off her light. "Love you, too."
((Gotta go, I'll continue later.))
