| Felix |
Felix wandered through the big mansion, looking for Bow, but there didn't seem to be any sign of her, and when he asked the other kids it seemed like the last time he had seen her was when she went upstairs. Well, she's probably in her room, he thought to himself. I'll just go look for her there. He walked through the common area upstairs quickly, and knocked softly on Bow's door. It was open a crack, but he didn't want to be rude.
There was no immediate response, so he pushed it open. "Hey, Bow," he whispered, feeling like a trespasser. "Are you there?" He cursed himself, unable to speak louder for some reason. She wasn't around, and her bathroom door was open. Felix didn't dare go in there, but he could see bloody bandages on the floor. Gasping, he rushed out of her room, convinced that he would get in trouble for seeing what he had.
When he made it back into the common room, he saw Bow sleeping like the dead on the couch, almost invisible against the fabric. Even so, he couldn't see how he had missed her there in the first place, even if he had been distracted by the thought that she must be in her bedroom. He felt horrible for invading her privacy when it hadn't been necessary. He plopped down on a chair opposite her couch, waiting for her to wake up, staring at the ceiling. After a while, he fell asleep himself.
