Myra flew over the trees and laughed. "Terekos, I need to ask you something serious." She stopped to hover.

"Sure, Myra. Now what is it?" Lupe turned his wings almost vertical to stop soaring. He looked at Myra and waited for her reply.

Myra suddenly choked up. "I, uh...." She looked into Lupe's eyes. He didnt like her that way! What was she thinking?! "...We are going to be great friends.." She said instead.

"But-I thought...okay." Lupe was right. Myra just wanted a friend, she didn't love him like he loved her. "I knew I shouldn't have come flying." Lupe thought. Now, he really did feel sick. He looked into Myra's beautiful eyes, the eyes he loved seeing and always brightened his day. Lupe tried to harden himself. "Is that all?" Lupe asked, trying not to sound hurt.

"What else did you expect me to say?" Myra hoped he would tell her he liked HER.(look at ur post carefully)

Lupe swallowed his fear and sighed. "Myra, I...I like you. I like you alot. But, I understand that you don't want to be hurt and you just want to be friends. As long as I can still see you." Lupe knew that this might cause more heart ache and embarassment, but he had to tell Myra how he felt.

Myra rushed forward and rubbed his neck with hers. "I will take risks for you."

Lupe licked her ear and cheek, then put his head into her neck. "Do you really like me? I thought you wanted to be friends!" Lupe exclaimed excitedly. His heart was beating uncontrollably and he was breathing quickly.

Shadow was near the base of the mountains, on the very edge of the meadow. She could see almost all of it, except for by the stream. She scanned carefully, zoning in on every large movement, including swaying blades of grass. The definition of her vision was amazing and she watched carefully. Soon, the local elk herd wandered into view. She saw nonschalaunt against a dark boulder. She didnt bother to crouch or hide. She blended in so well, she didnt even move, that it was like she wasnt even there. Her blue eyes like sapphire's embedded into the rock. She smiled, her teeth glistening. Her feathery wings rustled in the wind and the herd nearedcloser. She leaned against the boulder and waited. She stifled a yawn. This would be easy.
