Dakar inhaled sharply, his eyes wide. "No," he said quickly. "I can't go outside. It's too...big. Too many colors. And the wind moves everything around, and... No." He shifted uncomfortably on the bench, eyeing Desmedona from where he sat across the room. Then he turned back to Juli. "I'm okay with finding food, though. We could do that now, even. Let's go. Anywhere but here."
He stood up, shoving his hands in his pockets as he watched the brown voodoo doll. It wasn't moving. It did move sometimes. That was normally when he ran. But you can't run from your own madness.
"Get rid of it, Viper!" he called. She was around here somewhere. Out in the open, or hidden in his mind. She was there.
That's when Desmedona's head turned slowly to face him.
He grabbed Juli's hand and basically dragged her out of the room and down the hall, running his hand over the doorknobs as he passed them. They all felt hot. The doors felt hot, the walls felt hot.
He stopped in the middle of the hall, wringing his hands and looking anxiously all around him. When he spoke, his voice was quick and frightened. "How about...happy poems. I mean, like, anything that doesn't involve things that shouldn't be there or things that are out to get you or...stuff like that. You know some stuff like that, right?"

Lily walked out to see people already interacting. She stared at a couple people, not knowing who she should interact with or if she could trust anyone in this house. "Um...Hey guys..." She said to nobody in particular. It already seemed like everyone started to talk and she felt slightly left out being the last person to wake up. She still wasn't sure why she was chosen to be in this but while she was here, she might as well make a couple new friends.

((Well, I'm sorry for poofing. XD I'm here now. Keira is accepted, and Vespertina, what's her new power?))
Nora put a hand over her mouth as Luka began to sign,
and she felt foolish for snapping at him. She knew about deaf people. When she would sit on a bench in the city, just to people-watch, sometimes she'd see a couple or a group walking by, their hands moving in patterns that did nothing but confuse Nora. She'd even known a deaf man when she was younger- he was homeless, like her, and they communicated through hand gestures and pictures drawn on scraps of paper. He'd taught her how to sign her name, and it was the only sign language she knew. So she pointed to herself and signed, " N-O-R-A," followed by a helpless shrug to show she couldn't sign anything else.

Keira woke up to the fierce pounding in her head. Make it stop!
She looked around, and sat on the bed. Wait a second.. Where am I? I thought just a second
ago I was walking to my house... She suddenly remembered the wave of pain that came to her neck.
She reached to touch it, but decided not to. She looked around the room she was in, and found a
note on her bed. She saw the name Swanhill Manor and thought, Is that where I am? She shook
her head. This is all a dream. But the pain in her neck is unbearable... She looked at her
window, but it was barred. " What?! Have I gone Phycho? The windows are barred!" she
screeched, thinking she was in a prison, for it sure looked like one so far. She opened the door, and it
opened smoothly with only a rustic squeak. She looked around. She could feel the pounding in her
head and her voices in other rooms not far away telling her that there could be others around.
She slammed the door and leaned against it. Oh no. It really is true. She is in Swanhill Manor.
had got to find out more. And with the squeak
of the door, she was out of her room, and walking through the hallway, hoping someone could
tell her what was going on.

Lily sighed. Knowing that nobody would acknowledge her existence, she plopped down on a couch that looked awfully comfortable. She looked forward to see a huge TV along with a surround sound system. It was almost as big as the one Lily had at home but just not quite. Lily laid down and looked up at the ceiling. Where she really wanted to be right now was her family's private yacht, suntanning on the deck like she usually does on clear mornings like this. She closed her eyes and tried to imagine herself sitting on her purple lounge chair as the morning sun let its rays shine down on her pale skin. As much as Lily tried to tan, she just couldn't get that tan she wanted.

(Lol I just noticed I switched my cherries around so the guy from earlier was areo. The guy waking up is Will)
Will woke up in a room he didn't know where he was but he felt a piece of paper and wished he wasn't blind at that moment. Will found his way to the door and was thankful it was unlocked as he entered the hall he yelled. "Hello anyone there."

Luka shook his head a little, trying to figure out a way to express what he meant. He fished around in his pockets for the pen he usually kept with him, just in case, until he remembered that he'd changed clothes before leaving the room. Although they understood that he was using sign language, they didn't seem to actually know what it meant; at least that was a start. He paused, before shaking his head again, slower, then covering his mouth momentarily: 'Not deaf, mute'.

Corby watched as Nora began signing with those complicated gestures. She smiled a bit, growing hopeful, until Nora shrugged, signifying that she knew no more than that. Corby sighed, turning back to the boy. He seemed to be deep in thought. Then he shook his head and reached up with one hand to cover his mouth.
"You can't tell us?" she guessed. "Well, I don't think deaf people normall say anything. Wait, that's it! You can't speak, can you?"
She climbed to her feet, tired of being on the hard floor. It hurt her knees and it was cold and dirty.
"Well, can you hear what I'm saying?" she asked. Then she said it a bit louder, tapping her ears and gesturing away from her mouth as she spoke. "Can you hear me talking?"
