Cheyenne peeked around the corner in the kitchen and smiled a bit as no one was there. She walked in and turned her head to glance over at the living room. She froze, but calmed down after realizing the man on the couch, her father, was asleep. She walked to the double doors separating the two rooms and slowly closed them. She stopped as she heard a voice grumbling.
"Mm... Who's there? Cheyenne?" The man called from the couch. "Y-Yes... d-dad?" Chey stuttered in reply, opening the doors back up fully. "What are you doing home?" He asked, sitting up and looking over at her, he hadn't yet seen Jason.

The man stretched a bit then leaned back against the couch, glancing over at his daughter. "Get me a drink." He mumbled. Cheyenne nodded and jerked the fridge door open, grabbing out one of the bottles of water. He was watching her, and clearly wasn't happy with what she picked out. "I said a drink... One that I like, da**it." Her father spat with a quiet growl. She flinched a bit then grabbed out a different bottle and opened it, then walked the drink over to him. "Next time, get it right." He grumbled. Chey nodded softly and handed him the drink then walked out of the living room and back into the kitchen.
Cheyenne realized Jason hadn't moved and headed back to the front door, where she saw him in the hall. "Want something to drink?" She asked in a whisper. "Hey! Who are you talking to?" The same voice from earlier thundered.

Cheyenne reached her hand up to rest it on Jason's cheek, softly shaking her head but then she shrugged. "You could leave if you wanted to... Or head up to my room. Upstairs, first door on the right." She murmured quietly to him then walked back into the living room. "I-It was just me... I was talking to myself." She said quietly, fiddling with her shirt. The man was already halfway done with the bottle he had and was still slouched back against the back of the couch.
She went to take his bottle to replace it, but he smacked her hand away from him. "I'm not finished yet." He grumbled. Chey nodded then folded her arms against her chest and walked back into the kitchen, getting out a cup which she filled with water. The only reason she was truly angry and somewhat embarrassed was that Jason had to see her wreck of a family. Just her and her father.

Cheyenne sipped a bit from the glass of water to calm herself down then sighed quietly, holding it in one hand. She set it down on the counter before pouring it out and opening up the dishwasher, then putting it in. She closed it and glanced over at the living room. "I'll be upstairs." She said softly then walked out of the kitchen sort of slowly. Chey stopped for a moment to breathe slowly, then continued to the stairs. She shifted her gaze to Jason as she saw him and smiled a tiny bit. She walked to his side, took his hand, and slid past him so he could follow her.

Cheyenne held Jason's hand as they walked up the steps. She let go of him then walked along the hall to the first room on the right, opening the door to her room. She stepped in and held the door open for him, it shut on its own. Plus, she didn't want the door open with her dad downstairs, and she knew he'd be down there for a while once the television volume turned up.
