Aurora's head swayed groggily, groans escaping from her agape maw. She looked up wearily, blurry vision producing two Manga's in front of her. She groaned... One was enough trouble. Her nose was clogged with the dull scent of forest dirt now, and her bloodlust proved no danger to the wolves around her. She attempted to stand, her bones creaking in resistance, shaking dirt and leaves loose from her matted pelt. She stayed sitting, to weak to try to stand again, her vision adjusting to the forest around her. She shook her head, clearing it. She breathed with her mouth, and could feel her gills stinging with pain. She winced, and saw out of her peripherals that she was bleeding a bit from them, and that the impact must have injured them. Her body tensed with the thought of dirty gills, and she feared infection.
"I'm fine..." Aurora mumbled, wincing "For the most part..."
As her memories returned to her, she was filled with regret. "I'm... So, so sorry..." She stammered, at a loss for words. Her eyes were apologetic, though, and she shuffled her feet awkwardly. She looked down at her paws uncomfortably, averting Manga's eyes. That's when she heard him say "We all have to move!" Her eyes shot up to the sky, where she could see the birds circling around them, every so often glancing down, screeching, and getting closer. They flashed their talons once, opening their beaks to an unnatural size, and she brought herself to a standing position, her adrenaline fueling her body. She flashed one look at Manga and said "We have to get to more wolves. We don't stand a chance on our own."
