Ashstar quickly joined in the chanting. "Firepaw, Lightpaw, Waterpaw and Windpaw!"

Brackentail added his own voice to the rest of the cats' chant.

Waterpaw sat by Owlmask. His eyes showed his excitement with all the things he would be doing as an apprentice.

Brackenclaw hefted himself to his paws. "Firepaw! Lightpaw! Windpaw! Waterpaw!" He noticed Cloudnose, sitting with an impassive look on his face. He walked over to him. "Cloudnose. Your looking older then I do."

Cloudnose shrugged. "I'm fine. I need to talk to Ashstar."

Brackenclaw nodded, understandingly, and walked back to the elders den.

Lynxbound cheered along with the rest of the Clan. He felt content. He glanced at Violetpaw, glad that she would have some demates.

Windpaw felt herself swell with pride. She touched noses with Streamtail, then sat down beside her. She glanced back at Hazelclaw, wanting her mother to be proud.

Streamtail looks down on her apprentice, her golden eyes filled with pride. As she looks at Windpaw, she feels as a mother might feel, and she feels an overwhelming sense of responsibility and protectiveness. She looks up at the Clan, and wonders how she will train Windpaw and set her off to be the best Warrior she can be.

Cloudnose, seeing that the ceremony was over, walked up to Ashstar. "Ashstar, we need to talk." His voice was firm, and he added a bit of urgency to his tone.

Firepaw bounced to his littermates, joy and pride swelling his chest. "I can't believe it! We're apprentices!"

Windpaw smiled at her brother. "We're going to learn so much!" She agreed, flicking her tail. She glanced up at Streamtail, then back to Firepaw.

Lynxbound stood, arching his back. He looked at Violetpaw. "Shall we go do some battle training?" He asked, now that the ceremony was ended. His paws flexed on the ground.

Streamtail purrs softly, and looks up at the two. Then she shakes her head, and says sharply to Windpaw,"You must rest. We will start your apprentice duties tomorrow. If you don't get up early, then we'll clean out the elder's den and check them for ticks." Her strict words rang out, but there was a certain pride in her words. Streamtail walks away, off to talk to some of the other warriors, and congratulating some of the other new mentors.
