Ash whirled in a circle, her eyes wild and splashed into a small puddle. She jumped in it and stomped in it until she was out of breath. She neighed loudly and reared up. Her mane rippled beautifully against the sunset, orange and red and yellow. Finally she was on all fours and very much refreshed.

"You okay?" Comet asked the mare from a distance. Her behavior struck him as odd. He already knew Ash belonged to a stallion though that didn't mean he couldn't be friendly.

Ash froze. "Yes . . . ," she said, embarrassed that she'd been caught playing. "I was just bored." She looked at Comet. "I like watching your band during the daytime, I hope you don't mind TOO much. Because I can go."

Comet started to understand why she was acting like that now that she answered him. "I never said I minded. Why are you so interested in my band anyway?" the black stallion asked her.

"Well, I'd like to know how a real band works. It's just Pozar and I, and no one else. Although, I'm not sure I'd like it if someone else joined."

"Well, its nothing very different, just more work for me. Protecting, watching, all that stuff not getting into detail that will take to long. And it isn't really an option if you don't want anyone else in Pozar's band, its really up to him, though there will be conflict sometimes." Comet said looking at his mares at the last few words before looking back at Ash.

Goldie looked at Zorin for a few moments before saying anything. "I can leave if you wish. I don't want to inconvenience you if I am."

"No! Stay, if you want. I mean, if you don't want a band, I guess you can leave." Zorin looked at her.

"I've been looking to settle down in a harem for sometime now but I guess I hadn't found my place. Why?" Goldie asked.

"I don't want to put mares through misery, like that Comet did to Senja, his lead mare. I tried to save her but failed." He hung his head. "Oh well."

Ash swished her tail, shooing flies.
