Comet lifted his head again from grazing hearing the neigh. He wondered why Ash seemed to be sticking around. Though he looked up at the sky to see the sun setting.

Ash trotted away into the safety of the trees, too tired to watch how a herd functioned. She slept for a bit, then got a long drink. Her front-right hoof was raised as she stood, listening, as a twig snapped.

Comet was dozing off when he heard a twig snap, wide awake now the black stallion looked around his ears forward towards where the sound came from.

A loud snarl echoed through the trees. Ash stepped forward, ready to take on whatever it was. . . . A wolf sprang from the shadows, landing on Ash's back. Suddenly, she was terrified not of the one wolf, she could take care of it, but when one wolf attacked, the rest of the pack closed in. And sure enough, four more stepped out from the trees.

Comet heard a snarl and flattened his ears seeing five wolves. He raced forward towards them, not going to stop, he head low ready to hit the wolves.

Ash reared and hit the wolves as hard as possible. She sent two running, and broke the leg of one so he laid by a tree.

Rain watched Zorin leave, and she shook her head regretfully. No, I don't have a band. She thought.

After the fight was over, Riversong shook her mane and trotted gracefully over to Bristle. "Hi." She said, standing proudly. "You're a good fighter." She said admiringly, looking him over. Her cream-colored mane and tail rippling in the breeze.

Wildfire neighed again, and stood on a hill, looking for mares to steal.
