I'm sure this has already been said somewhere, but I'm annoyed by who they picked for male roles.
From what I remember of the books, Peeta is supposed to be the blonde, soft one.
And Gale is supposed to be tall, dark, and handsome.
For whatever reason, the casting crew swapped them and now Peeta is dark and Gale is light.
This irritates me, so hopefully it doesn't ruin the movie for me. 8D

I just hope that they're both good enough actors to make me completely forget who they actually were and make me think that the books were actually written about them.
Oh, and in addition to the dark and light thing, I believe they're dying their hair. I wouldn't swear to it, but I think thats what they're doing.

I love this thread. The books are awesome! If no one had made one, I would have made one myself. You saved me a

Arrgh! I've spent the two last days inside, just reading the two first books. I clearly need a break, but the the second book left me
at a cliffhanger; I need to know what happens next. D:
No fair, Collins. No fair.
Oh, and by the way; I always imagined Rue being Asian for some reason..

Ugh, I love the books and I liked imaging the way the characters looked but by the way they picked the people it could, mess up my vision I guess. Those pictures on the front is when they don't have makeup or anything on. It is just like Rob Pattensin without his makeup, he looks weird but when he has it on he isn't half bad. It could be like that for this movie, hopefully. They are still really creative and good books and I still after all this writing that to me is a lot but not for most, I hope it doesn't ruin my mental image of the books.

Oh, immortal, I TOTALLY disagree. I think Robert Pattinson looks freakish when he has all his vampire makeup on, but normally (like when he played Cedric Diggory in HP), he's pretty good-looking.
see,
CEDRIC

VS.
EDWARD

Anyway, I would just feel so much better if they looked like I imagined them!! I know people say looks don't matter, but it means a lot to me, and I'm sure a lot of other people. I just hope their acting can make up for it! Honestly, though, my main concern is how OLD they are. They look WAAAAAAAY to old to play any of the characters, especially Katniss.
I hope it doesn't ruin my mental image of the book as well...

We're all being so doubtful about this movie

I say we'll find out what its like when we see it. I don't know if any of you saw the Percy Jackson movie, but it was totally different from the books, and I still liked it. They were completely different things, but I liked them both
because of their differences.
