The Kiya pack has been run in peace for many years under the rule of Akhen. When made leader, Kiya was under war with another pack. He brought them out of darkness, out of the sarvaction and misery that they had been living in. He lead them to a new land where they started over and grew into a strong and noble pack. But Akhen's rule is now coming to an end. Old and dying and with a blind mate, Akhen has to pick out of the three surviving pups that him and his mate raised. Nadia is the only female, and though it isn't custom for a female to be made alpha she is in the running to take his place. Out of his two sons, Akhen knows that they would not be the ideal choice. One acts as if an omega, and the other has a dark heart. He visions the blood and chaos that he brought the pack out of if that son were to lead. But he also must think of the pack's wishes. The dark son is a favorite and he knows that he has the vote of the pack. But his daughter. She is of them both. She has the domanace he has to run the pack, yet the caring and compassion of her mother. Who will Akhen choose? The dark son or the unwanted daughter?
