i always wanted to do something science-related as a kid! i never stuck to one thing (from what i gather, every kid did for the most part), but it always centered around mathematics/science! marine biology, environmental science, bioengineer, regular engineer, and a few dashes of the typical dream to be an artist (musical or digital specifically)!

i really looked up to my father since he was an engineer and just incredibly smart. the guy could've got any job he wanted but ended up getting a second divorce, went through a midlife crisis, and now he's in the logging business cutting down tress for life (it's funny you can laugh)! his company does plant two trees for every one tree they cut down and they use ethical methods of logging timber, so i don't nag him too much about ruining the planet.

^ UGH i hate itttt when i do that!! i'll drive all the way to college and go to take my meds before class as i always do and boom. no meds. day ruined. class skipped. go home and sleep. you should not follow after me though, go to class and power through!! you got this!! redbull and aspirations will lift you up!!!

Seething a bit that the communal kettle has been taken by somebody. They didn't even take the base, so it's just a water container that's been sat in their room since 11am. Why!!! Why do you need a kettle in your room anyway??? This isn't the first time she's taken something communal and kept it for 2-3 days without telling anyone until prompted (and then she takes a day to give it back??) (sorry)

My favourite breakfast is an English breakfast no mushrooms no tomatoes extra hashbrowns and a big fat teapot of, you guessed it, English breakfast tea.

So I was looking at yarn prices at an online retailer, saw their shipping was £4, and decided I could instead take a few hours to go to a physical shop. It was only halfway to the phyiscal store that I realised it was costing me £10 to get there and 3 hours of my time... whelp. I guess it was good to get out the house anyway haha

I unfortunately have TOO many projects on the go *cries in ADHD* but the main one right now is I'm working on sewing together a dance costume for my performance this year. I'm still fairly new at sewing so it's slow going but my partner surprised me with a sewing mannequin for valentines day so that helps! My background project is i'm trying to write a book and it's technically complete but i wrote it all by hand (because in my brain it was easier to be creative) but now I have to transfer it all to the computer to edit and that's taken me several years because i just don't want to LOL

^ I loveeee that you went to the physical shop! Even if it took longer it's a good excuse to go out and I always find the craft more fun if I get to connect with the craft community to get the materials lol! I bet it's gonna turn out amazing!! Good luck!!

Been playing Hades religiously for a while now haha, hadn't been able to play over the weekend as I had very busy plans so it was genuinely such a relief on Monday to pick up the console again LOL

^ have u considered calling in a favor and having a friend or family member type it up for you? not exactly the same but back when I was in school and I would have trouble starting to write my papers, I would speak my basic thoughts aloud and my roommate would transcribe them for me! alternatively if you set aside time to do the Boring Typing and then combine it with NICE REWARD like... idk listening to music you like while you type, or a delicious sweet treat, or reading time etc. All of these things easier said than done but you gotta do it for the novel!!! Sucks to have all that work just sitting and not being shared yknow?

I do not at the moment. I would absolutely love to have a basset hound one day; they are my favorite dog breed. If not a basset, I'm thinking of adopting a pitbull or any sort of dog from the shelter once I have the funds to take care of a dog. I would also love a cat but I am unfortunately very allergic to them.

^ Absolutely she does! I love hearing about people's pets, especially cats.

Probably a common answer but I love the sitting cats. They always seemed so cool to me as a young kid playing CS (especially the warriors ones) so they're a bit nostalgic for me now, haha. I also really love the Malk foxes and the cow edits of the mid-stage pony lineart.

^ it is SO hard to apply to things out here, internships and jobs alike. If your college has a career center and you haven't reached out to them already, I would definitely suggest doing so! I ended up in my current job thanks to the career center at my college.
> Last week my therapist was about 10 minutes late to our telehealth session, and let me know it was because the previous client was in a space where they really needed the extra time and support. She went on to reassure me that I (like all her clients) would receive that benefit as well when necessary... lo and behold, guess how today's session went lol. We did some really important work but man it's exhausting to spend half your therapy session in tears. this might be shocking.... but donkeys. i love any and all donkeys bc they're all precious to me. big, small, white, brown- give em all here. i will feed every single one of them sugar cubes and pet their soft ears.



^ i havent done therapy in years but i find myself missing it quite frequently. my therapist was someone i never thought i'd get along with but she was a real gem. we would probably never agree on anything politically or ideologically, but she was a damn good therapist. love her with my whole heart.

We don't do groundhog day here so I don't have an opinion. I've noticed recently that it's been brighter for longer; I used to leave for work at 5 and it'd basically be dark, now it's still very light outside. There's also spring flowers blooming here and daffodils. So I'm actually feeling in more of a spring mood.
^ Aha mood... I'm trying to learn new art stuff which means my recent stuff has been terrible. Good for you though! At least you got something done. I've been trying to let myself only draw when I want to, though, instead of feeling like I have to, so it doesn't turn into a chore.
