Mudstar laughed. "It is the good life." Suddenly, she stopped talking and sniffed the air. She smelt water vole. She crept up behind the scent slowly until she saw the creature then, when she was close enough, she pounced on the water vole and killed it by breaking its neck. She put some dirt over it to save it for later.

Pantherclaw congratulated Mudstar on her catch. He himself had managed to catch a mousethat was scurrying by.

Leopardpelt looked at the apprentice and nodded. "I'm happy to be here," Leopardpelt said to her.

Starpaw smiled. "Glad to hear it!"

Mudstar smiled at her hunting buddy. "Thanks. You're not to bad yourself," she said, flicking her tail towards the mouse Pantherclaw had caught.

"Thanks," Pantherclaw said. He looked over the field. "So, how's a life as a Leader?" he asked.

Leaopardpelt giggled. She nodded her head to the apprentice and walked towards the forest to hunt.

Grassblaze shrugged, "Well, I guess. You?" she said, raising his eyebrows.

Wait- is Grassblaze a guy or a girl? x3

Mudstar twitched her ear and sat down, wrapping her tail around her paws. "It's kind of nice. You get respected, you get to make kits apprentices and then apprentices warriors..." Her eyes started to turn serious. "But sometimes it's very stressful...sometimes battles break out...or plague spreads...It comes with its fair share of consequences."

Pantherclaw sighed,"Nothing's perfect."

Mudstar nodded solemnly. "Yes, that is true..." She plastered a happy smile back on her face and turned towards Pantherclaw. "Say, Let's go hunting near the PlantClan border. The mice over there always seem to be more...fat and juicy for some odd reason."
