Cavalia stood between them standing guard. He nickered to Eli softly when he saw the eagle fly in to check up on them.

(could I get a quick recap please? My last post was on pg 19.)

[There was a wolf attack and I saved Shady and my lead mare Dahlia. Shady joined my heard.]

[Gezza]

ROSE

Rose finished her drink and wandered down to the valley. Spotting other mares and a few stallions she kept to the shadows but still her white stockings flashed.

Shady dreamed for a few hours before awakening again, but when she did, she felt revived and fresh. When she awoke, she noticed Cavalia guarding close and Eli keeping an aerial post closeby and felt relieved to be in their company. She was safe at last.

Cavalia looked tired. His eyelids started to droop then opened again. Noticing she was awake, Cavalia nuzzled her gently.

[G.L'S]

She noticed the fatigue crossing Cavalia's face as she arose and nuzzled him back, "I can watch if you'd like; take a rest." Shady whispered to him.

Dahlia woke but she knew no one could tell due to the fact that her head was facing away from Cavalia and Shady. She blinked a couple of times before trotting out of the cave silently. She knew Cavalia probably would follow her. She began to graze pulling up the grass and moving slowly to another spot.

Rose continued to wander, stopping, once in a while, to watch the other horses interact. At one point she nickered softly when she saw two of the horses nuzzling each other.

Hearing a nicker of hello, Shady turned to see another mare outside the cave not too far away from Dahlia. To be respectful, she tottered out to say hello but still remained a good distance away, so Cavalia and Dahlia could introduce themselves first if they so wished.
