i use the pen default settings with 255 opacity and with my mouse
for the texture above all other layers i added coloured noise on overlay and monochromatic noise on vivid light
then monochromatic noise upscaled and blurred on overlay
you can vary the opacity of each layer for stronger or weaker effect, especially on the vivid light layer
i would love to know if you try it i think it would look really nice on your art
