Houndoom rubbed his head against Atome's hand when she petted him, then rested his head on top of her legs. Suddenly, a bright red flash, and Vincent's Umbreon was out. He also desperately wanted some attention from Atome, and he gently rubbed his sof head against her arm, and lied down at her side, and rolled over onto his back, wanting a belly rub.
Vincent looked up at the sky, the flashes of the fireworks reflecting on his face. His crimson eyes gazed into the distance, almost peacefully. When the first firework went off, he flinched slightly, but after that, when the rest of them went off, he just looked, not moving. Almost still, other than when he blinked. But he felt sort of; sad. Atome was already telling Kero things that she didn't tell him until he earned her trust.

Atome pet every pokemon in turn, watching with interest, the fireworks. She felt a tug on her sleeve and she turned her head to look at Kero. He was staring up at the sky, looking at ease. She looked over at Vincent. He was doing the same, staring into the sky. She sighed and looked down at the pokemon around her. She didn't want to leave this anymore. The more she thought about it the more the plan seemed to be getting worse and worse. She felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to see Kero looking at her in a funny way. Suddenly he leaned in and kissed her. She froze her eyes going wide.

Kero pulled away from the kiss, his face going pink. "I'm sorry, I don't know what..." He looked down and sighed. "I've made up my mind about my prize." She remained quiet. "I want to travel with you and Vincent." He waited for her answer.

Blaze narrowed his eyes but didn't move to block the boy from his trainer. There was something in the other male, something he didn't trust, yet there was something that seemed to surface every time he looked at his trainer, something that he trusted far more. Blazes eyes darted to the other boy, Vincent. Now this boy he trusted, yet he was so strange. Blaze could feel the emotion flow off of the boy, and after talking with his pokemon, he knew of the boy's past. Blaze turned his eyes back to the fire in the sky.

Raoul watched the fireworks quietly, and suddenly felt a spark of shock in his mind. It was coming from Atome. He turned his head and could just see them on a far away hill. He shrugged it off. She was surrounded by her friends, and he knew she was safe right now.

Umbreon purred [Do Umbreon's Purr? .3.] in response to the petting, and snuggled closer to Atome's side. But the second when Kero kissed Atome, Umbreon rolled over, and a low growl began in the base of his throat. Houndoom felt the alarm come off of Umbreon, and looked up from his spot near Atome. Noticing the kiss as well, he began to growl. Vincent; Now hearing both of hisp okemon growling looked over, seeing the two of them kiss. He quickly looked away, not wanting to look. He felt like running away from the two of them, avoiding the situation. Instead, without looking at either of them, he mumbled "I have to go get something." He stood up, and walked away from the two of them, his pokemon following behind him. He left, and soon walked up to Entei, He murmured "We're leaving."
Entei gave him a questioning look, and asked "Why...?"
Vincent was getting impatient. "Just go."
Entei stood up, and Vincent returned his pokemon. He jumped up on top of his back, and said, through deep eyes, "Let's go."
Entei sighed, and instead began running towards the area where Atome and Kero were. Vincent dug his heels into Entei's sides, and caused Entei's breath to be lost. He said "You're staying with her."
Vincent looked down, "I don't want to go back."
Entei was almost at the area of the two trainers. "Well, you need her."
"No I don't."
"Well, she needs you."
"No."
Entei looked up in disbelief. "Yes she does, she trusts you."
"Less than the other guy apparently."
Entei sighed and continued walking forwards towards the trainers.
Vincent wasn't going back, no one could make him. He jumped off of Entei's back, and sprinted heavily in the opposite direction. He ran, and shut his eyes, not looking to where he was going. He just ran, and as fast as his legs would take him. He wasn't going back. He couldn't, not after what he witnessed. He blindly ran, and soon he felt something on his waist move. He opened his eyes slightly, to see his Houndoom running beside him. He was then, running blind again.
Entei, not noticing Vincent had jumped, until a few seconds after, hadn't known where he went. He quickly approached Atome, worry in his voice. "Atome." He paused for a moment. "Vincent's gone."

Atome looked at Entei, her head cocked to the side. "He....is gone?" She jumped up, startling Kero and his ninetails. "No...he can't." Tears came to her eyes, and she began to stutter. "I...." She put her head in her hands and rubbed her temples. "Take us to him." She climbed onto Entei's back and motioned to Kero. "You can ride Blaze. Entei, let's go fine him." She felt horrid. It was her fault that he left and she knew it. As Entei took off she shut her eyes tightly. Fear was beginning to crawl up her back and she could already feel the pressure on her throat. Slowly she slipped into a panic attack and began shaking softly.

Blaze watched his trainer leave in a hurry, her concern and guilt a wave of emotion. His eyes slid to the other male trainer, who seemed to be looking around, confused. He stood, gripped him by his shirt and tossed him on his back. Blaze tensed and took off, leaving the ninetails to catch up.

Kero had seen Vincent leave, but when Entei had come up it shocked him greatly. They both had legendary pokemon. He frowned, his eyes going deep with thought. Maybe it would be best if he didn't go directly with them, but followed from a distance. He would just stay a distance back and watch, wait. Why in the world he had kissed that girl he had no clue, but it might have been his ninetails using Captivate on him. Stupid fox didn't know when to leave him alone. Suddenly he was pulled out of his thoughts as he was tossed on the Arcanine's back, and the beast took off.

Raoul had a sudden wave of guilt and fear, and he launched into the sky. He knew something was up now, it felt like he was choking. Something had to be happening with Atome. He gazed down into the forest, and spotted Vincent running. Alone. Diving sharply, he snatched Vincent up with one foot. He grabbed him with his beak and tossed him onto his back. "What in the world it going on boy? I can feel Atome's panic and fear." He gazed back at the boy with a serious look, his eyes a deep red.

Vincent, who was now on Raoul's back, stayed silent. He didn't know what to say to Raoul. He didn't want to blurt out "Atome kissed someone, and I ran." But he needed to say something to Raoul, as he could feel what was wrong with Atome. He began breathing heavily, he didn't know what to do, what to say. Heck, he didn't even understand why he ran in the first place. Vincent's eyes deepened, and it took him a while to answer. He finally came up with something. "Earlier, when we were with Kero, He.." His voice trailed off for a moment. "He kissed her." He stopped for a moment. "Well, I went back to Entei, and asked if we could leave, he refused to, so I ran." He stopped, and felt himself shaking, but he didn't know if it was out of anger, fear, or sadness. He didn't want to be with anyone at that moment. He wanted to stay hidden from the world;From everyone. His gaze fell, and he had another sudden flashback. He tried to push it away from his mind, but it wouldn't let him. It forced him to watch it, through his crimson gaze. He didn't feel it, but his grip tightened slightly on Raoul's feathers. He saw his father, dying of a disease. His last words were blurred out, but he heard one thing. Vincent, watch out for... His voice trailed off, and soon, his father went limp in front of him. He began to yell, and his mother had come in, carrying something; Hitting him with the object, until he was a ball of pain on the floor. She had then, only taken the sheet his father was lying on, and covered him with it. After that, Vincent hadn't left his father's side. He refused to eat, and hardly slept. His mother didn't even go to check he was okay. When Vincent accepted the fact that the only sense of warmth in is life was gone, he had gone downstairs to his mother. Who was cooking something. When she noticed him, she began yelling, blurred out words, and began to hit him again. He heard a few words that came from her mouth. How could you....Father deserved to die.... He then, ran from his home; which hadn't let him go far. He came back again to his house, only to discover his dead father was gone. His mother also gone. Suddenly, the flashback stopped, and he was back in reality. Tears brimmed his eyes, and he wiped them off. He hated his flashbacks. No good memories came from them; only pain and sadness.
Entei nodded in a panic. "I was bringing him back here, when he jumped and left." When she jumped on his back, he ran. He ran as fast as his legs would take him. Entei was aware that Vincent hated being alone. But why he ran, confused him. He hates being alone, yet he runs from the thing that keeps him from loneliness. Atome probably understood Vincent more than he did. Suddenly, Vincent's mind came into view; the wall that blocked it earlier seemed to come crashing down. He was mentally unstable, and Entei could tell. He yelled up to Atome "Atome!" He stopped, and yelled again "Vincent's letting me into his mind..."His voice trailed off when the flashback appeared before his eyes. "He's having another flashback." He continued running, and hoped that Vincent was nearby, and not hurt.

Bird stared out the window, eyes fixed on nothing in particular. Genesis had slept on a small couch that lined one wall of her small living room, and still appeared to be unconscious.
Bird closed her eyes and glanced back toward the window. She focused on her thoughts, speaking to herself. "Raikou... once Genesis wakes up, I will escort her out, and then we can leave. Rush is ready as well."
Raikou sat within the trees, surveying the city before him. Then, nodding, he replied, "Alright."
