Haunted Mansion Day One - The Graveyard - Results!


The graveyard feels like it goes on forever, the landscape of headstones stretching in every direction as far as you can see (which isn’t far, with this fog). A chill makes its way up your spine and you pick up the pace- you feel as though you’re being watched. Eerie lights become blurred as you begin to run, breath curling and dancing around you before dissipating into the fog.

As you sprint through the fog, you run head on into something big… and sticky? The smell of maple surrounds you. Slowly, you tilt your head up to look into the hollow eyes of the werm looming over you.
> You ask the werm for directions.
You manage to stammer out a couple of words. Enough to ask where the bonfire party is. You quickly explain that you’re supposed to be at the bonfire party but you got lost.

“That’s where I’m supposed to be too.” The large werm grumbles “Maybe we can find it together.” He suggests.
> You choose to trust Spice.
He pauses for only a moment to gather your response. Since you didn’t say ‘no’ he assumes you want his help. You follow Spice as he leads you toward a looming mansion. He seems sure so you’re convinced he knows where he’s going.

It’s old. It groans and creaks as though it’s some sort of great, ancient beast that’s taking breath.
> Follow Spice’s lead and enter.
Before you can raise your paw to knock, its looming door slowly heaves open and, while part of you warns this is against your better judgement, you enter.

You’re immediately greeted by some open lounge area, with a elaborately carved staircase leading to the upper floors, and multiple hallways leasing further into the mansion. The light is low, and you can only make out each path for a few meters, before it tapers off into darkness. What will you do?
