[Toxic Nightshade]

Dilly made her way up the path toward the grand feast. The cool air nipped at her heels and brought forth the ache that had been present in one of the joints in her left leg since she'd caught herself too hard after tripping over one of the tools she was readying to till her cropland a couple weeks ago. She stubbornly pushed the discomfort to the back of her mind, excited to meet up with her friends and the rest of the catshees.
She brought with her some homemade jams and different types of bread to eat them on, made from all her own produce. She was excited to share her goods with everyone.
She made her way into the hub of catshees celebrating. A familiar face caught her eye as she finished placing her contribution on a table.
"Hello!" came a jovial greeting from Willow, who was smiling as she hurried over to see Dilly.
"Hi," Dilly replied, "Have you been enjoying the festivities this time of year?"
"Oh absolutely," Willow led her over to a place to sit, "I've been particularly enjoying all the socializing, it's good to see everyone come together to share in the merriment together."
Dilly smiled and nodded in agreement, content to be doing just that with Willow at that very moment.
Willow crooked her head, a question forming, "I have been hoping to run into you, and now that I have, will you tell me how your leg's doing?"
Dilly's ear pricked up in surprise, "How'd you know about that?" She'd been keeping to herself the past couple weeks.
Willow's laugh twinkled in her ears, "I could see you favouring it, silly. I do know a bit about healing, you know." she carried on sarcastically.
Dilly's face felt the embarrassment she'd garnered, "Oh, right," she shook her head at herself, huffing a laugh.
"Would you let me help you out?" Willow questioned.
"That would be very kind, thank you," Dilly appreciated it.
Willow proceeded with the work of her calling. Immediately, Dilly’s leg was flooded with relief. She profusely expressed her gratitude and promised that Willow would be coming into possession of some homemade jam of her own in the near future.
The two chatted for a while, before moving on to talk to more of their friends. By thee end of the night, Dilly felt she'd gotten a lot of socializing in and was very pleased with how easy and fun it was to talk to the other catshees.
She contentedly made her way back to her home by the end of the night, grateful to have spent the end of the festival with many of her very good friends.

As the celebration draws to a close, the trio settle down and share a delicious meal together. They warmly laugh and chat with each other before Aster draws their attention to a very special looking catshee quietly approaching them.

The stranger walks towards them with a polite smile as his jars gently float behind him. "Hello, my name is Cadaver. I apologize for interrupting, but I've taken notice of your group throughout this festival and have found myself quite intrigued..." He leans a little closer, his eyes shining with an eager curiosity. "If none of you have any objections, I would love to join you on your travels."

Aster glances down at Specter, and the two share smiles and small nods before looking over at Saccharine as they wait for her answer. She hesitates for a moment, nervous about the somewhat calculating gleam she saw in his eyes. She quickly puts the thought away, knowing that she shouldn't judge other catshee based on appearances alone. She dramatically clears her throat and flashes him a bright smile. "Well, the more the merrier! Welcome aboard, Cadaver!" The group makes room for him to sit with them, and happily offer to share their food with him. "Think of this as your grand welcome feast!"

A deep purr rumbles in his throat and his jars swirl around in excitement. "Thank you, I'm truly honored..." His gaze softens and roams over his new companions as he joins them. "I may not offer much, being only a humble healer, but if any of you find yourselves injured, be sure to inform me, hehehe..."

Yorakei Sundancer takes a seat near the edge of the large collection of Catshee feasting upon the delicious stream of food coming from the cooks. She needs a moment to gather herself. Each night has given Yorakei a glimpse into the world of Avalon and its harvest festival of Samhain. She's always just kept to herself, never wanting to make a fuss and just stick to her little garden back home. When the invitation from Archfey Dwi fluttered onto her doorstep, she couldn't help but feel nervousness jolt her stomach. She knew though, that this was her chance to break out of her mold and finally start living.

Hundreds of Catshee are singing and dancing all around her. Join them. A voice whispers in her head. She instinctively reaches up to her touchstone atop her single horn, it calms her racing heart just a little. Join them! It crys louder. "I'm scared! I don't know how. What if I do it wrong?" At this moment, she catches the eye of Archfey Dwi, gliding through the masses and sharing pleasantries with those they pass by. Don't be afraid, look...and learn.

They disappear once more amongst the throng of Catshee, all clamoring and bartering with the curios they have gathered over the course of the event. Yorakei double checks her own collection, all safe inside her small pouch. She sets it down and leaps to her feet. She must join the others, to prove to herself that she can grow just like the plants she so carefully tends too. The rumbling of drums vibrate her ribs, and her heart starts beating in rhythm. Her feet start tapping and stepping on their own and soon enough she has joined the others dancing the night away.

The festival has taken its toll on some catshee, but Mystique isn't one to get exhausted easily. In fact, the chance to socialize has done him good! He's been quite productive in deepening the loyalty of his followers, as well. It's only natural that he would spend the final night of the festival with the catshee closest to him.

Milk Dud is, surprisingly, the first to arrive. "Mystique! Did you carve anything? They let me keep my turnip!" Sure enough, there's a turnip clutched in the tom's paws, the design on it barely recognizable as some kind of bird. "I was going to offer it as a decoration, but they said it was too nice to take!"

"I did." Mystique smiles. "Artistry is not one of my many talents, however. They kept mine as an offering."

"Maybe yours was just so good they gave it to Archfey Dwi!" He seems entirely genuine, eyes shining. "Wow... I bet they'll love it!"

"I wouldn't dare to assume, but that is a nice thought. Thank you, Milk Dud." His ear twitches as pawsteps approach. "Barkley. Were you held up? You're usually so punctual."

Milk Dud and Mystique turn to see Barkley leading a catshee with bat-like ears, tail held high. After a moment of silence, the newcomer is the first to speak.

"My name is Myotis. It's an honor to meet you, friends." It dips its head. "I've heard whispers of your group, and Barkley was kind enough to keep me company these past few nights. I've decided to join you... If Mystique will have me, of course." It makes eye contact with Mystique, deferring to him.

There's a pause as Myotis and Mystique hold each other's gaze, each sizing the other up. Finally, Mystique nods. "I trust in Barkley's judgement. You may stay with us for tonight, at least, and when the festivities end I will decide whether you belong with us for good."

"Thank you." It smiles, a glint in its eyes that Mystique isn't sure he should trust. To go back on his decision so soon, though, would make him seem fickle. Better to let things play out.

"I'm Milk Dud!" The tension is immediately broken by their healer. "Barkley won you over, huh? It'll be nice to have another cat to dance with tonight--not that Mystique and Barkley aren't good, but Barkley and I are both left-pawed, and Mystique likes to direct us instead."

Myotis purrs, amused by Milk Dud's enthusiasm. "I'd be thrilled to dance."
