Despite the autumn chill, everyone was still quite warm. Mostly on the inside; both literally and figuratively. It’s the grand feast, after all; there’s plenty of nice, warm food to be shared! But, even outside of that, this Samhain has proven to help blossom new relationships, both platonic and romantic.
Spire and Anthe, particularly after the bonfire dance, have basically been attached to eachother the entire time, still participating of course, just doing so together, and sharing the occasional short kiss. Even Aanyah, a catshee who hardly has any experience around others(that’s what happens when you live in the woods for years, xe jokes), has managed to find a new friend in Goldenrod! That also means xe has to, mildly begrudgingly, put up with his brother Umber, but the little thief’s been off pestering others thankfully. Speaking of Goldenrod, they even got to help out with the feast! He’s been passing out various apple pastries for the past couple of hours; of course, he sought out his new friends first! (And even his brother! Even though he technically “stole” it. He didn’t. Goldenrod just let him think he did. For the fun of it, of course.)
Overall, everyone’s had a fantastic time; although, Aanyah’s definitely a little sad about the festival ending. And after the festival’s over, it’s time for cleanup(which Spire got voluntold for; they don’t know who, but they have a suspect), and then after that’s more adventures… That’s for later though! There’s no point in focusing on the future right now; there’s a festival to enjoy! (259 words)

The feast was glorious! Many long and round tables filled the brim with foods and treats of the season and catshee in every seat, crowding in together to spend an evening of frivolity on this last event of Samhain.
Musky Hubbard wasn’t here from the start of the festivities, having wandered into the area from the depths of woods to find catshee celebrating. However, he was found by someone sweet and shown around to the remainder of the events like a longtime friend, which made him feel warm and content to stay around. Much of what he remembers is blurry, having wandered paths and seen many things, but having no distinct wanton to do anything or to make friends with those he crossed paths with. Dilly, the lovely lass she is, showed them a much different kind of life, which they still were puzzling out how to thank her for.
But there he sat, between Dill and Cammy at this table, being introduced to Minty and finding out that the three were siblings. Hubb wasn’t alone for the first time he could remember, because of this inclusion, and he was learning about others. He found that he quite enjoyed it, as it gave him new stories and tidbits to have in his mind.
His paws softly smurggled their beloved pumpkin, finding that he felt happy in the company of kind souls on this special holiday. This would be something he remembered for as long as he could, which said something considering he had no important memories to recall.
“- and I even had Cammy show him around a bit ago, so they could experience the trickery of Samhain!” Dilly was telling Minnty about Musk’s adventures.
“Yeaahhh, I still can’t believe the trap worked.. I’m glad Arthur came to get us so Flea wasn’t up there too long,” Cammy flattened her ears in slight embarrassment and sighed, fortunate that it all worked out in the end.
“Sounds like quite the time for a stranger to have, here with us!” Minty smiled and chuckled.
“...” Hubbard had been very quiet since they arrived, not typically using their voice or having to communicate. But, the moment felt right,
“... It indeed has been a time.. for my first Samhain.” (373)
