what's going on!?
it seems like an island has suddenly burst forth in the middle of the ocean!
sluggums from all over have become aware of this odd never-seen-before event...and well, curious by nature...

the island is vast, full of creepy crawlies, monsters only your imagination could come up with and of course, it seems some deep sea slug-folk have even taken to visiting the horrible place...

this island does NOT feel friendly...at least, not from first impressions...

rules!

all main page rules apply.

there are multiple different areas in this event, all have been coordinated and planned, please make sure to read each forum page thoroughly before participating as they have different guidelines along with rules in order to participate.

everyone is allowed to participate in this event so long as they have a co-op archive for the species and their account is at least 2 months old.

the event will run from the 16th of October until the 16th of November at 11:59pm CS time. after that, the trade-in shop will remain open for another 3 days, then all leftover tokens from the event will be null! so make sure to turn in any tokens you have!

you are in charge of keeping track of any tokens or items you earn from the event; when using said tokens or items at any point you will be required to link back to where you received the tokens or items. if it is caught you are trying to use the same tokens or items multiple times staff will be required to discuss this with you(it is up to staff if you will receive a warning, strike or otherwise). all tokens and items are one time usage.

there is no limit to the amount of sluggums, tokens or items you may earn during the event, unless stated otherwise. (eg. you may still only win one raffle sluggum per litter...etc. make sure to read each individual activities rules as they may be different).

you can trade your tokens or items earned upon receiving them, there is no cooldown.

the event was setup to be a fun and exciting way for your sluggums and you to participate in a halloween themed area specific to sluggums, staff will not tolerate any whining, begging or otherwise harmful language regarding the event if you're not enjoying it, please be kind and positive so everyone can have a fun time during this event staff worked hard on!

guide!

this is a basic guide regarding the event, for more thorough guides for each individual event activity, please refer to the specific activity you are interested in!
during this event, staff have prepared halloween themed litters, items and tokens in which you can spend at the [url]trade-in[/url]! the trade-in area is the "shop" for the event! keep in mind, tokens may not be traded in once the period for the trade-in shop has ended(November 19th at 11:59pm) so make sure to spend all the tokens you can before then, as there is nothing we can do for you after the event has ended!

achievements
if you have participated in any of the event activities during the event, you are entitled to receiving an [url]achievement[/url]! achievements are able to be displayed in your co-op archive or if you'd like, on your profile to show you were apart of the "haunted island event" there are many achievements to gain outside of this however so keep an eye out!

explore the island
in this event, I have prepared an "explore the island" area for everyone to participate in! this is where a majority of tokens, items and possibly even sluggums will be earned! everyday, you may post a form one time with the sluggum participating, then at rollover staff will be posting results for that days excursion! you are guaranteed at least one thing per day, for more information please refer to the main event explore booth.

the tomes
another activity that has been prepared is called "the tomes". this is the prompts booth! every 3 days, you may participate in the prompts given by staff, then once the prompt ends you will receive an item for participating! not only that, but there are greater rewards for the users who put in an impressive amount of effort! users will be chosen by the judge and given special rewards based on the effort to the prompt given. for more information please visit the tomes booth.

the maze
"the maze" is a guessing game booth which will open periodically for users to participate in, the goal? to reach the middle of the maze before everyone else. there will be a form for users to fill out once per round to give their best guess of the route to take to the middle of the maze for their prize. some users may be disqualified for the round if they ended up meeting a spooky fate on their excursion in the maze! others will continue to guess until someone reaches the middle, or until the last sluggum standing...for more information please visit the maze booth.

the cauldron
last but not least, we have "the cauldron" this is simply a "color-in" booth. users will be given a png image of a cauldron to color in how they please, then artists may possibly choose their cauldron to turn into a sluggum at the end of the event! it's your basic color-in game, not much to it! though, I suppose you might be receiving a rather spooky scary sluggum by the end of it! for more information please visit the cauldron booth.
