mask design:

Black and gold butterfly mask with a faint iridescence, a nod of inspiration to his lover's wings. If tilted against the light at the right angle, faint patterns can be seen on the black.

mask design: the mask is as delicate as a fairy's wing, appearing to be crafted of fine layers of silk. it is a soft, cornflower blue, reminiscent of sparkling waters in the sunlight. the gossamer sheets of silk create a wake-like effect, and when it billows in the wind it is as soothing as a lullaby. several waterlilies float on the left side of the mask, seeming to be the exact shade of a summertime peach. each petal on the lily is ringed with gold dust and is as fragile as tissue paper; if you reached out, you suspect it would crumble at your touch. the mask radiates a soft candlelight glow, and a pastel ring of iridescence dances upon its surface.

today is your sixth day in faerendell, and the eve of sundering day itself. yet, instead of excitement for the impending holiday, a persistent unease that you can’t quite shake coils in your chest. lórien’s murder remains unsolved, and you can only assume the culprit is still at large in the city. every corner you turn has you on edge, as if waiting for something—or someone—to jump out and get you, and you catch yourself glancing over your shoulder more often than not.

nonetheless, your self-imposed investigative duty calls. call it determination, or perhaps morbid curiosity, but you can’t bring yourself to walk away from this mystery just yet. and even if you could, the city’s gates will remain locked tight until the mystery is solved. someone must drag the truth of what happened into the light before you can return home; could that someone be you?
