That odd alleyway, despite it's ominous presence, pulls Levi forward, his thirst for clarity and knowledge nearly unquenchable. Perhaps he'll take a peak at the embassy afterwards, and see if there is anything else to learn from there.

response: Undeterred by the cool reception at the embassy the prior day, Ophelia determined that it would be best to make her presence known at the largest event of the day (the parade) and to try again to meet someone new at the embassy. Perhaps there would be a more helpful dignitary around when she revisited - after all, it is important that Ophelia integrates with as much of high society as she can find. This logic followed for attending the parade. Certainly, nobles involved with the event would be present and available for her to speak with. If this parade was so important to the festival, these fables undoubtedly would be those with the closest ties to the organizers. These were the connections she was determined to make.

Poppy eyed the suspicious dark alleyway wedged between the busy streets of Stormire. The ominous vibe of the shadowy brick alleyway was enough to send many fables scrambling away, but the opportunity for adventure beckoned at Poppy.

space Shuò had just finished another session at the local library when he joined the crowds on the streets. They seem to be more agitated, no, excited than before. Discomfort with the noise and physical sensations of the crowd immediately washed over him, but he immediately shook off the unneeded feeling. Looking around, it appeared that fables were getting ready for the parade. The voice of a chipper fable near Shuò revealed as much, but he also based this thought on the flyers he had been seeing around the city. If the city were tinted with a soft blue before, it seemed that it was dyed in vibrant blues now.
While observing the streets one last time, Shuò noticed some fables heading toward a dark alley, almost as if they were pulled by a mysterious force. Had these fables belonged to his empire, Shuò would have ventured to follow them in case of danger. He thought he saw a familiar face too, but if that were Poppy popping into the suspicious alley, he was sure she'd survive. But as is, he had no obligation to them, and so continued his merry way.
Shuò hypothesized the streets would be the parade's domain soon, so he set off against the crowd, heading towards the fountain.
Perhaps the fabled fountain—"Wellspring," Mr. Graves in the tavern had titled it—would be involved in the parade, but Shuò was banking on the chance its involvement wouldn't be at the beginning of the parade. He imagined the fountain would be aglow with festivity near the middle of the parade, and the parade would use the fountain to redirect the parade. Or, the parade at the end would see fables breaking off from the crowd, satisfied with what they'd seen so far, and perhaps miss the triumphant ending at the fountain. Whatever the case, it was best to see the fountain now, while other fables were busy with their little parade shenanigans, and satisfy his curiosity.

And next? Shuò would go to the embassy. Again, while other fables were distracted with the parade, it would be a good opportunity for the more politically savvy of them to scheme and vocalize topics they normally wouldn't. Shuò hoped he would not see the same guests at the embassy today; he would feel a little forlorn to have to be reminded of the disappointment House Lysandor's Lórien had shown in his otherwise perfect behavior last time. However, Shuò would feel little emotion if he was met with the return of Cahir, who had showed no faults for Shuò to needlessly pick at.
He hoped to hear of or from House Virellian's Leona as well. Perhaps because Shuò knew little of her personal character and motivations, he thought her an interesting target to fixate on for a while. Constructs, he knew, were a heated subject in Faerendell, so why would a house leader so openly, and against her house's wishes, pursue the study of constructs?
