this is where community members maybe order custom-made sluggums from artists within the species! anything you imagine can be possible, based on what you choose!

well, take a look down below to guide you through how this works, what is and isn't allowed and of course where to order your customs! I can't wait to see what you can come up with alongside our talented artists!

ଳ rules are subject to be added, changed or removed; by participating in sluggums customs you agree to abide by all rules, regardless of additions, changes or removals.

ଳ you must abide by any additional rules added by individual artists listed on their respective customs page.

ଳ all main page rules apply where applicable.

ଳ all discussion regarding USD must happen off-site as per CS rules; you may only post how much your are offering via CS and nothing more. (eg. "payment offer: my offer for a custom is $15 USD.")

ଳ customs must absolutely always be original and may never request a custom based on or similarly inspired by someone else's sluggums or other characters/adopts that you do not expressly own and/or have permission from the artist to recreate or use as inspiration.

ଳ community members cannot make their own customs, all customs must be made by a staff member.

ଳ customs absolutely cannot be based on copyright characters, real people or anything similar. they may very vaguely be inspired by copyright characters, but never real people. it should not be directly recognizable as the inspired character.

ଳ you may request design transfers from original characters or other UMAs into sluggums, however, if you are not the original designer of said character/UMA character, you must get explicit permission and provide the proof of permission to the artist.

ଳ the base poses available should not change nor be entirely redrawn without prior permission from boogiebug requested by the artist, if you're curious what base poses we have available please refer to the lines library here.

ଳ artists may charge an additional service fee; prices and additional price changes are up to the artist and should be specified when ordering a custom and their base prices on their customs page.

ଳ artists are permitted to decline or cancel a request at anytime for any reason; if a custom is canceled by the artist after any payment was made, it must be refunded in full.

ଳ you are welcome to create sketches or mock-ups of a desired custom, however you may not do so on any sluggums assets, please have it be your own original work.

ଳ all users are expected to remain professional, kind and understanding of our artists and their time; it should be understood that under no circumstances is harsh or harmful language welcome when talking to an artist.

ଳ please extend your patience when it comes to customs and the length of time in which they are completed; however, if an artist is not being communicative on the custom process or delivering proper updates in an extended period of time without good reason, you may talk to the artist about a refund if a drastic amount of time has passed; you must have made at least 2-3 attempts at communication regarding unfinished customs and proof of conversation history regarding unfinished work.

ଳ sluggums that were not bought with real life currency may not be exchanged for real life currency.

ଳ sluggums that were bought with real life currency may be resold for the original amount purchased and no more; the exception is if art is bought with real life currency only. original pricing is recorded in staff archive; however, it is the buyers responsibility to make educated decisions regarding purchasing a sluggum with real currency, we recommend verifying the additional art value with a receipt.

this is where sluggums community members may go when interested in commissioning one of our amazing artists for their very own custom slug! customs range from a recolor on a pre-existing line, a recolor with minor edits on a pre-existing line...to something entirely unique and entirely you!

periodically, artists will "open" their custom pages by allowing users to fill out forms specific to that opening, these openings will vary in price; some openings might be through using custom pearls, others might be CS pets or currency, or an opening could even be for real dollars. after filling out a form, it is up to the artist whether or not they will be taking on your commission request.

it is important you familiarize yourself with all the sluggums rules both via the main thread, trade thread and especially customs thread; not to mention some artists may have individual rules outside of the main sluggums hub, so please make sure you are reading and properly understanding before ordering a commission, as anytime you order from any slug artist through sluggums you're required to abide by our rules past and present;

the lines library is the area that community members can see all the linesets created by artists and past artists when interested in ordering a custom!
each lines library post is managed by the individual artist and updated by them when they're available!
eg. all linesets created by boogiebug will be under their post and managed by them!

be used to have previous
linesets edited more
significantly!

current general rates for artists with published customs threads:

classic: ~$5-$10

dreamy: ~$10-$15

mystic: ~$20-$25

keep in mind the range could change in the future and prices can increase depending on requests with individual artists, these aren't limitations but estimated base prices.
when paying via USD, you do not need to supply a custom pearl.
