Exploration
Ready to head out into the wilderness of this strange island? There are a few things you should know before setting out. Take a look, and get out there!
- You may explore once per CS day ON WENDSDAYS, SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS.
- You may take up to 4 Coatikits exploring. The amount you bring may affect results...
- You may send your Coatikits out to different areas in the same day! Just include forms for each area.
- Once your exploration is complete, a reply with your results will be posted here, sometime between explore days.
- You will get different items from different areas, so try to explore everywhere!
- New areas and items are always being added, so check back into old explore areas every so often.
- Items do not come with descriptions, so you must use them in the cove to find out what they do!
- There is a small chance, that no matter where you explore, a new Coatikit will join you.
·✶· The Beaches ·✶·
The peaceful shoreline surrounding the island. Its always pleasantly warm, but the waves do get high occasionally. When they are at their lowest, a sheet of colorful stones beneath the water can be carefully selected from. Crabs scuttle back into hiding as you approach, and a strangely colored gull darts by. Wait, is that something half buried in the sand?
·✶· TidePools ·✶·
Various sea life resides in these glittering pools, occasionally breaching and sending ripples across the surface. Starfish, Urchins, and sand dollars creep slowly across the floors, outshone by the flashy fish that dart around above them. A band of Coatikits nearby are fishing. They seem to be having good luck!
·✶· Forested Ruins ·✶·
Towering above the forest floor, huge stone structures, akin to cathedrals, stand unwavering. Draped with vines, moss, and lichen, they are worn, but sturdy. Their craftsmanship and the care given to their construction shows, despite their state. Who knows who may have been here before the Kits? Coatikits have set up dens in some, but others remain untouched. Its up to you to find whatever is in the deepest basements and highest towers.
·✶· Deep Woodlands (NEW!!) ·✶·
Surrounding the beaches on all sides, trees of all shapes and sizes wave gently in the breeze. The majority of the island is covered in dense woodlands and jungle-like foliage, providing shelter and security for the Kits. Birdsong and mysterious noises emanate from within, and upon entry, paws hit soft moss and scattered groundcover. Various footpaths wind through the hilly terrain, leading to a myriad of destinations; some of which may contain treasure...
·✶· Moonlit Clearing (NEW!!) ·✶·
Within the woodlands somewhere, not too far from the tidepools, a clearing with softly waving grass and glittering stars waits for those who seek. Coatikit pairs go here to spend romantic evenings, and wary travelers find themselves resting here amongst the cricket song and fireflies. This clearing, mysteriously, can only be found at night. Those who seek it during the day find themselves at the waterfront, or down a path in the woods they thought they had already walked down. However, when the sun begins to set, Coatikits flock to this magical destination. What wonders will you encounter here?
You must explore here during the night! This means you must post your explore forms between 21:00 and 07:00 Chicken Smoothie Time. All forms not posted within these times will be replied to with results for a different (random) explore area.
