I love the pace of this event, it's so easy to keep up with as someone who has a full time job and not a lot of time to spare

I also love that with all of the new animals that exist they get to sort of rework the event from 2011 and expand some of them into different pet shapes (I bet they've been dying to do something like this since they introduced all of the different dragons)

I can't wait to see what else they've got in store for us

I'm also so happy to see folks enjoying this guy! I joined CS back in 2011, and the burnt knight dog has been one of my favorite event pets ever since. I just love how simple the design is, while having so much personality.
I had a lot of fun recreating his look, and putting my own touches on it! It's been interesting seeing how he's received again too-- with some folks seeing him as a descendant, or a relative! When I was working on the design I imagined this more as the same dog but older. A bit more scruffy, white-haired, and grizzled, with some scars to show for all of the fights he's been in-- but overall more confident than he was when he was young.

I love the interpretation of this being a descendant of his though. The flavor text added for his adopt got a chuckle out of me; the idea of his entire bloodline being a bit cursed is amazing hahaha

I wasn't here in 2011 and had no idea he was derived from a former event pet until i came to this thread; p cool seeing older players' happy reception to the nod to the past.

I was smitten by this boy's smile- not knowing about the past event, i imagined this guy, despite being singed from dragonflame, as having an innocent happiness about experiencing his first big battle....

although now that you've said you pictured him as an older version of the 2011 dog, i'm getting a vibe like the end of Kurosawa's Seven Samurai, when the remaining warriors flash each other a big smile after the final battle while saying, "Once more, we have survived..."

So it looks like burnt dog lost bits of their tail and ears, got more fluffed up since we last saw them, and seem to have gained more courage and experience based on the use of a shield now.

are we about halfway through the event? also can someone refresh me on the story? ive been reading bits and pieces but ive mostly just been scrambling to get all of the pets for my goal of getting all 2025 pets

Oooh, it looks like the banner limit went up again (300?). I was at my max about an hour ago and come back to see I can hunt tokens again, yay!

We are on Day 9 of the story (usually there are 10 days of story) but the event continues on past that for more token collecting and trade-in time. You can catch up on the story in this thread: Forum/viewtopic.php?f=108&t=5067506
