As you attempt to get a bit of relaxation time in the caves, you spot a young toddler carefully picking his way across the rocky entrance, one paw firmly in his mother's as he chatters excitedly. It seems the two decided to explore the area a bit more thoroughly, picking up any interesting shells and rocks and adrift plushies (how many of those floated away in the storm exactly?!) along the way. The child seems to be focused in on his task, showing his mother the trinkets and explaining what they are before placing them in his Bluey backpack.


His mother is listening attentively, an amused smile on her face as she listens to the happy chatter. Her paw helps the toddler clamber over rocks and splash through puddles, always keeping him from slipping and getting hurt. Every once in a while she'll stop them both and point out some interesting sea life, or a particularly smooth pebble or washed ashore toy that he missed. She answers his questions with a laugh and a hug or ruffling of his fur and doesn't seem to mind the constant waves splashing around them and making them soaking wet (well...not too much, anyway).


They look...happy...it's nice. You watch for a bit before the mother mentions they have to head back home to papa, and the child happily lets her lead him off towards the beach. Their paws are full of toys and ocean knicknacks, and you can hear his backpack rattling with more goodies! Seems they had fun <3
