Rise of the Cynth [1x1]

When Skye threw her back she skidded across the grass, luckily she stayed on her feet. Luna whipped her katana to her side, barely blocking Skye's sword. Her feet dug into the ground as she tried to stand her ground. She laughed, "Much better then I expected!" Luna exclaimed as she pushed off his sword. Luna jumped back to a tombstone, and pushed off that to gain height once again. But instead of attacking head on she barely missed his head as she sailed over him. Luna landed behind him, she wasted no time, and thrust her katana, aiming for his lower back.

Ren followed them quickly, taking out yet another one of the Gryths. He grinned "Just my area!" He muttered to himself happily. Ren didn't have the best control of his power, mostly because he was best with his weapons. Ren made a dome of the murky water, it wrapped around them, like an outer shell to the barrier. You could barely see through it, but it was better then nothing. Ren started to sweat a little, barely noticeable, in fact no even himself noticed. But using his abilities drained him slowly, and makes him sleep even more the usual.

Skye was light on his feet, moving swiftly on a side step and narrowly avoiding Luna's blade. Her movements were based on height... He would read her movements. She always seemed to jump. Next time she jumped, he would aim to slt one of her ankles to avoid more needless movement like that. Speaking while fighting was a little unneeded, but he couldn't help but wish to comment on Luna's stance. He shut his eyes for a moment before swinging his blade again towards Luna's waist. He was weilding a two handed sword with just one hand. His left hand that bore a glove that the right one lacked.

Hunter looked at the murky dome and simply nodded. It would help for now. "We should move quickly. Get on my back. I'll carry you both." Hunter barked, looking at Mayia sharply and having her scoot up a bit, close enough to be able to just grab Hunter's ears. Hunter was a very large wolf. If he were to stand on his hind legs, he would be standing over eight feet tall. He was large enough to carry two large men on his back with little trouble. Carrying Mayia and some boy with a froggy coat would be no trouble at all. He was hoping that the Nyldrem wouldn't cause a problem. He didn't even notice that there was a Cynthian amongst the group.

Luna took a breath to sigh as she narrowly avoided his sword. Luna jumped up and balanced in the middle of the sword like a cat. She grinned and jumped back, laughing. Her hair whipped around her as she charged back at him, if jumped won't work, then I'll just switch. Luna thought to herself as she ran, but she was unusually close to the ground. As she ran she held her katana pointed at Skye. She growled quietly and aimed for his upper shins, Luna slashed, putting enough force into it to slice right through. This couldn't go on forever, she would then have to a tie breaker then.

Ren grinned widely and his eyes lit up, as he hopped onto to Hunter. He couldn't help but laugh, disrupting his concentration on his water controlling. It cause the dome to break apart at random areas, which caused an small Gryth to attack. Ren chuckled and shot another one of those things, and fixed up the water again. Ren didn't leave an weak spot. "Oops." Ren chuckled yet an third time. He fit on Hunter fairly well, and Ren didn't have a hard time getting comfortable either. Ren laced his left hand in Hunter's fur, and with the other hand to hold up his shot gun. His grip on his shotgun tightened as his grin widened. "What a nice bunch."

Skye wasn't all that caring that Luna was using his abilities to have her fun. He found it to be very childish, but he accompanied her, holding the blade so that it wouldn't shatter under her. When she came at him again, Skye just moved his blade, the girl's katana nearly pierced the blade itself. It was a good thing that the material was very strong. "That is quite strategy... Your speed is lacking, however." Skye said, just looking down at her. "I would like to know your name, miss, if that is not too much of me to ask of you. I would like to remember you. Your skill is admirable." He praised her modestly, his expression never changing from its cold state.

Hunter grumbled a little, taking off through the water at a breakneck pace, Mayia leaning forwards and hugging Hunter's neck. Hopefully, Ren wouldn't fall off. "Hold onto him. We can't afford to lose any allies." Hunter barked as he took off, and Mayia sighed timidly, reaching back with one hand and taking hold of Ren's left wrist. "You'll fall if you hold on like that." Mayia said in both a bashful and uncomfortable tone. "Hunter, to the left, we might be able to find the sanctuary." She said, her voice starting to lose its strength. She was getting more and more tired as time went on, but she forced herself to stay awake as they made their escape.

Luna couldn't help but grin, "Well I'm called Luna." She replied, he really was a gentleman, but no one has ever told her that her speed was lacking. "Interesting indeed..." She murmured before she straightened back up. Luna took a step back, "Then I'll stop playing around." She laughed and a strange gleam shone through her eyes. Luna tied her hair up in a high pony tail, she grinned widely. Luna feet were a a flash as she yet again attacked, but this time she went to the side of Skye. Luna spun around, picking up her speed even more, her katana aiming for his head.

Ren laughed and slipped his wrist from Mayia, to grab the Hunter's fur again. "Sorry, young lady." He chuckled and put his shotgun on his lap, as he put both hands to the pelt of Hunter. Instead on killing the monsters with his shotgun he concentrated on thickening the water, making it yet harder to break. He narrowed is eyes as Hunter ran, and his bright green hair whipped out of his face. Ren grinned, now this was living.

[Mayiamaru]

Skye simply stood there, his weapon lowered and his expression blank. His sword began to vanish, and replacing it were ten lances that whirled around Skye, creating a wind that circled Skye. "This is a place where humans lose their minds... You, though, seem to know what you want by the looks of things, Miss Luna." He said, just eyes lokking over Luna every time she moved. he was interested with this one, but not so much that he wanted to be near her. Her violent nature was something that Skye didn't like. "Rioku. We are leaving." Skye said simply, sending the lances to circle Luna while he just walked back the way they had come.

Hunter had found that the water was soon no where near them, and neither were the Cynth. Mayia her just nodded to Ren uncomfortably and held onto Hunter quietly. "To the left.... Now right... There." Mayia was whispering the directions to Hunter, watching the twists, turns and multiple tunnels of Vuglary's sewer system. Hunter stopped under another manhole and lowered himself to the floor to let Ren and Mayia down. Mayia was the first to get off and just stood by the rods that acted as a ladder to the surface. "Please. You first." Mayia said to Ren, motioning for him to go up first. Of course, she had a reason.

Luna confused by these lances whirling around, she growled. Did he really think she would be gotten rid of that easily? Luna watched the lances for a moment, trying to see a special pattern. But they seemed to just circle her, keeping her kept in that place. She smiled sweetly, well this should be easy enough. Luna held her katana with her left hand, for a moment she stood there, her eyes squeezed shut. Breathe deeply, and concentrate all of your speed in your arm. And as soon as her eyes flashed open, her arm and katana, on cue, struck a Lance. Even Luna's own eyes couldn't follow her arm. She couldn't move fast on her feet, and she was quite vulnerable in this state, but it would do for now.

Ren released the smelly water, throwing in the direction from where they came from. He glanced at Mayia and grinned, "But I like riding on Hunter." He pouted childishly, but after a moment he chuckled and slipped off. Ren glanced up at the man hole, and sighed. He pulled himself up the rods, once he got to the top he glanced down on Mayia. "See on the surfece!" He exclaimed as he turned back around to poke his head. Ren glanced around and saw nothing bad or anything like that, so he climbed the rest of the way up. He breathed in deeply of fresh, stretching.

Once Skye was far enough, he just had the lanced vanish. He didn't want to have to deal with all of this now. To fight another human in this situation was a waist of his time. There was nothing that he wanted more than to just sooth the dead here in the cemetery. "Rioku, scout the area. I sense something very wrong." He said lowly, the troubled look in his eyes evident as he continued to walk. Rioku nodded, obeying Skye's order and ran off towards the exit of the cemetery to scout over the large town again. If Skye said something was wrong, then he was usually right. Skye was strange that way, always predicting misfortune, death. Anything that had to do with this town and pain that he had caused.

Mayia lowered her head and put one finger to her lips. "Y-You really have to be more quiet..." She whimpered quietly as Hunter used the rods that extended from the walls to get up to the surface. Mayia went up last, climbing a little slowly. Before she even got to the top, Hunter took the back of her collar in his jaws and pulled her up. With a sweet smile, Mayia rubbed Hunter's fur, brushing away the grim with her hands. "Thank you." She whispered, smiling at the sweet creature. They were outside a cave, the essense of magic wafting through the place. There wasn't a Cynth in sight, but blood still hinted the air from the south. It was colder up here, but it was safer than being in the sewer lines. Pushing the entrance to the sewer closed, Mayia pulled a big rock onto it to keep anything else from coming up. "We should get inside..." Mayia passed out there, against the boulder. Hunter looked down at Mayia and grumbled slightly, watching as she slept and trying to get under her so he could carry her in.

Luna sighed sadly as the lances vanished, "I was so close too." She muttered, Luna pulled her hair, and shook it back into it's usual place. She was tempted to go after Skye again, but she didn't really feel like it right now. Besides he won't even take her seriously. Luna sighed and ran her fingers through her snowy white hair. She turned and left the cemetery, "Might as well have some real fun." She muttered to herself and laughed loudly, it echoed softly through the cemetery as she left. Luna sheathed her katana, and picked up her pace.

Ren grinned, "I can pick her up." He murmured softly to Hunter, trying his best not to wake Mayia up. Ren walked over there, taking his time. Ren gently made room for himself, hoping he didn't get eaten alive by the wolf. He scooped her up into his arms, he was quite surprised that she was easy to handle. Usually he found it very hard to pick another person up. Ren straightened up and said to Hunter "Lets go to the cave to rest." He didn't wait for an reply, Ren turned and slowly made his way there, careful not to trip.

Rioku could hear Luna's laughter, glancing behind him and seeming to wait for her. There were no Cynth around here, since the cemetery's boundaries extended past just the gate. The crystal around his neck sparkled with energy, and Rioku spoke up to Luna. "You should stay in the cemetery. Its dangerous out here at night, and you heard what Skye said. You lack speed. You won't be able to get away from any Cynth if you come out during this time." Rioku's voice was rather demonic because of the energy. Skye created that crystal so that Rioku could project his voice. The problem was that the energy that it took for him to speak took a large toll on Skye if he spoke too much.

Hunter looked up at Ren, stepping back from Mayia. Mayia groaned a little and clung to the softest thing her hands touched, and that was Ren's shirt. When Mayia was sleep and near something warm, she smiled and snuggled closer, since in her sleep, Hunter always curled around her. Hunter padded into the cavern and down to the back, laying down and waiting for Ren. "Ren, you can just set her down with me. If she wakes up with you, she just might scream." Hunter warned, laying down with his head on his paws, waiting patiently. I wonder what would happen... He thought to himself, his silvery eyes shutting as he settled down.
