this is actually not one of the star sprites and coincidentally just looks very similar! great guess though!

nope! as stated in the post for this particular meteor shower, anybody is allowed to collect one star regardless of if they'd collected that type before. the only restriction is that you may only collect one star from this particular meteor shower :3
